Fair-fair-fair-fair I went to Edge Field dec??? thistle weeding corn. Robinson came by. I made Jane a bough. Made a bundle yesterday for cocoanut gourd?? Susan S weaving? Today. Feeling badly today.

Fair-fair-fair-fair. Weeding garden pepper corn. 3 Yankeys came & dined, pd. $2.00 John Lewis came for lambs, pd. Me 50 cts to carry them to Mill the next day

Fair-fair-fair-fair. I went to Carmel. Bro R preached. Went to Depot & to Mrs. Woodfolks for ??? Pd $2.50 for 3 ???land sides single Mariah & Robert &  ???tha? came up.

Ploughing & weeding corn sent to mill for meal. Sent 1/2 lb corn & 2 lambs

Note: rockaway was light, low 4-wheel carriage with fixed top and open sides] children & Pat went in east had 133 SS scollars [Sunday School Scholars] today. Emily R. at meeting. Bro. S.  Mrs. Sanders went down he came hear & spent the day went home in evening. I went with Robert to put up fence for L. Grove baptizing at Oxf. 20 colored. I went to see ?? Ansey H

Fair-fair-fair-cdy-fair. I went to see Mrs. Martin went by Providence saw Black horse and John and the Dr. Cary & Olivia came went away in evening. Cherry has calf female.

Misty rain-misty-misty-misty. Working in gardens & James ploughed kean [cane] and Katy's h. I spoke to Lewis about Elizabeth & children. Says she will carry then to Richmond tomorrow, found calf.

Foggy-fair-fair-fair. I went to ???, fixed two locks, fixed a plough for James, broke bolt after weeding corn, E Fi [E. field]. Elizabeth and children went to Richmond. Had my cart & Bob to go to ?? H at ?? S miss Wells ?? weltstull? Came. Got up calf this morning had her milked three times, Cherry cow.

Fair-fair-fair-fair. I worked my watermelon patch and garden cucumbers. Mayday has calf female. Second cow/calf she has had. John T laid up today. Or all I ?? John ploughing Clarrence came over and stayed a while (cow ?? tonight Mayday) Ploughing corn by rock spring and weeding same.

fair-rain shower-fair-cdy I went to look for cow and calf. Found them on Swamp. Cow C  Tomasia H. and children went to T. Castle. [editor's note: Topping Castle] for cherries. Got wet . James ploughing, John seed planting the corn. Edge Field on swamp. John Thomas laid up.

Ploughing corn weeding and seed planting shelled corn sent to mill. Set out 5 roughs of Irish potatoes in F [front] of house setting sweet potato plants.

fair-fair-fair-fair. I went to Carmel to SS [editor's note Sunday Service] with children. The scool had commenced. I had 9 or 10 Scollars James went.

fair-fair-rain hard-cdy. I gave John Canfield 16 ears yellow corn. Mr. Martin came with Mrs. Noels. H and I went to T. Castle to look at oxen. Saw George McLaughlin at Mr. Dickensons after corn. I expect Mr. Martin came to ?? me home. Left the horse hear. Went to Canfields for corn. There are ??? at Jerico and about. Traded for horse & calf, 2 oxen. Ploughing cotton patch & sorgam patch weeding. Same. Planting ?? beans etc.

Fair-rain-rain-rain. I tied up tomato vines I have tomatoes big around as hen egg. H Liz & I went to Jim Terrells to prayer meeting. Susan & Sally S went. Bro Rove spoke. Johns carryed blade to scool for Mr. Martin to fix.

Bob went for Sally thinning corn, shelling & halled lode ?? steers ??

Rain-cdy-cdy-cdy. John made a bough for ?? B got tree from Poplar Spring. Mrs. Southworth came in this evening. I patched up hog shed. Ploughing sugar kean patch hall a lode of wood shelling corn

Rain-rain-cdy-cdy. Planted corn in front of house yellow corn. Bro Rove came to night. John and I went to e. field replanting corn on flat near river. I cut up some potatoes. Sent to Mr. S for some
