Fair mild d/Fair/Fair/Fair I went to traps caught a muskrat Saw a mink I think Fannie came this morning & sat a while Linnie went to Mrs Lambies before dinner Lesly came with a basket of clothes from Cedar-fork L. is there. cutting wood etc I patched up bridle & saddle etc

Fair/Cdy/Rain a f. drops/Fair Lizzie England came with Linnie from Cedar fork last night about 1 ock Lizzie left fo Landora after breakfast I went to traps caught mink & muskrat I worked on the mantle-piece Jennet came to saw the corners of tobacco house Linnie turned out her Turkeys put them up again – I gave Cournal a lashing for runing the turkey & I sat 2 traps on this side one at diving hole & fishing hole

Saw fox hunters on rode went to Carmel. Bro Saml pd Bro Riggan 11 dollars to day. Lizzie E sent a note down about buggy & horse Jannet brought chair home this Evening by Sandy brought Harry Holding home Nora came by

Rain a few drops/Cdy/Cdy/Fair I went to traps found all out of the water except one that had a koon in it. he had cut the trap looce. I worked on mantle piece finished it Fannie & Linnie came by from Saverys. a mild day I put the clock on mantle piece.

I went to Jennets he burning plant bed & Sam Buckhannon saw Mr [barrel?] Wood at mill Byron makg a wagon body. I sat 2 Fox traps at rock in by fence. heard dogs running saw 5 one had fox skin on neck

Fair mild day/Fair/Cdy Fair/Fair I caught a muskrat carryed 2 ½ dozen eggs to Noels & traded for molaces & sugar st. peter. I went to Bro Saml & dined first went by Dr Lins money gave me a check for $80 & 60 cts. John mended Lizzies hemmer – I met Lem Luck & Tom Swann on way to Town Sandy & Byron S. with tobacco for John. Bro Saml went with me to Noels – Lizzie & child came to day & Harry & Sandy. Lizzie came to bring meet – to sent to Richmond, I got a letter for Thomasia from Harriet got 2 letters for Savery – gave them to Jennet

Fair mild/Fair/Fair cold/Fair I carryed 1 bu meal 2 fowls & 2 plates butter to Chesterfield to go to the collage, & carryed a ½ bu meal & ham meet for Lizzie England. Thomasia went to Providence I went by Stever Terries to see John he was at Verdon Mr Robinson came this morning for Cow I went by Providence & dined & came up home Linnie came up to Edmonds to spend night Jennet came to night to kill hog we could not catch her Harry Holdin & Lesly came this evening I hear I gave Jennet a koon

Fair cold morning/Fair/Fair/Fair Jennet came down & killed pig it weighed 122 lbs cut out & salted to n I went to traps & took them up one gone something cut vine into [in two] I went to Providence & to Jerico to look at buggy did not suit came by Longdens got a letter from Mrs  Lambies – from Harrriet Ann. Pertha w at Providence Mr Oliver came by for Tax between 8 & 9 dollars

Fair col morning/Fair/Fair/Fair Thomasia went to Cedar fork I carryed her basket to Mrs S, gate post the other side Otho S. came to day with Lesly to go to rake for my trap I snaped at 3 ducks saw 4 shelled 1 bu corn carryed it to Terrells I stoped at Cedarfork Thomasia went to Cty Line. I went by Ct Allensworths saw him about Goodwins buggy Sandy got back from Richmond he soled his tobacco for $5.00 a hundred he bought an axe for $1.00. Lula came to night with Thomasia Mrs Savery joined Cty Line

Thomasia came over w Jas.

Fair cool day/Fair/Fair/Fair I went in town on horse Nelly. when I got to Mr Dandridge H had gone to Depot to meet Tho Clarrence sayed I saw H & Gwinnet I went to to Depot for skins found them there in office carryed them to Mr Dandridge, I went to Heairs & to a hatters to enquire about price of firs [furs] etc I pd 9 cts at tole gate. children had valentines etc saw Tig at night, Sally A, at Mr Ds.

Fair/Fair/Fair/Fair I soled my furs for $15.00 to a hatter & fir man & bought a hat of him for $2.00 bought a coat of John Kean for $7.00 bought a pair specks & cace for 35 cts a pair suspenders for 25 cts Harriet & I went to Wrights Galery to have my likeness taken saw a Mrs Samson there I had a check cashed at store $86.60 cts bought 6 bs coffee at 28 cts per lb $1.68 cts I gave G 25 cts H & Sally went with me to Smiths shop for buggy had it greesed & went out to Mr Gouldins met with him pd 9 cts at tole gate Boys killd a pig that Bro S, sent.

Fair cool day/Fair/Fair/Fair Cutting wood, I went to Noels carryed 5 dozen Eggs traded for 5 lbs sugar 12 ½ cts I got 10 lbs worth soap 20 cts cheas 10 cts worth blackin 1 gallon oil 40 cts Thomasia & Clarrence went to Town the Boys – went to horn-quarter Jenny came up to stay with Linnie I brought cows from Mrs Lambies – I put new rains on my bridle saw Jenny & Lular Redd pass Noels.

Cdy/Cdy/Cdy/Cdy I shelled 1 bu corn carryed it to Buttlers mill left it & went for it this evening Savery carryed corn & went to Hewletts has bought mill steem Lizzie E went home this morning I cut a cart lode wood & halled up little cart Linnie ironed clothes I saw a hen on swam[p] in Mrs Lambies saw Lem Luck at mill saw Sorney & Jennet going to mill I put cows in pasture gone again Dog came back I sat a hen ole one on 13 eggs

I went to Providence on way to Town. to night

Fair/Fair/Fair/Fair I went with Wm Dandridge to to Gross Dr to pay for second hand carriage or buggy for $85.00 – I bought 2 harness new one from Mr Brown for $13.00 one second hand of Charles W Emmenhauser Broad St. for $3.50 cts. [Emmenhauser was a harness maker at 715 E. Broad St.] bought a whip for 37 ½ cts – hird Bro E. Cobb died yesterday & Eliot Burruss corps went up to Caroline [Elliott Wortham Burruss, 1815-27 Feb 1877] I went & got Carriage carryed it to Mr Dandridge & we went out to Mr Gouldins got at night I pd 24 cts tole gate. Thomasia gave Betty Gwinnets likeness.
