Fair warm/Rain/Cdy/Fair I whetted Old Mr Becly Hardimans raiser I went to Terells mill for meal found it after I got there Litle B. Smith was at mill came with him to Cedar fork – it rained a pretty shower this evening went over the River to see Mr Smiths saw him at plant bed & Edmond came up for plans he helped Sandy to pull up & drop I went for Sorney Baker he came up 5 ock & sat out till sun set. Sandy gone with Edmond he went to Landora to day. We sat out the most of the new ground in frunt of the house Old Mr Smith was at plant bed cutting wood etc I met 2 Carsons & shepard dog spoke for a pup

Dr Dickinson conducted the meeting we elected a Paster Bro Regan Richmond collage took a collection for Bro Baptis mad[e] up all to about 13 dollars I am to give 1 dollar Sandy & Lizzie & Lula went to Cedar fork S.S. John England came back with them I kild a snake in garden.

Lem Luck cut his oats to day hear & at Saverys Emma brought clothes this evening.

Dr D conducted prayer meeting broke up by 12 ock – I fed my horse dined with Harriet and went to Golansville to Jobes funeral Bro Dickinson preached went to Ct Allensworth, Dick Boler was at meeting Buck Terrell & Mr Cobbs. Cous Southworth came & got my wagon broke spoke & got tire off Lizzie was hear most of day at home by self Lula took calimel I bought a book at Carmel 5 cts.

Sorney came for cart on the mule to hall up wheat going to hall it to Jerico to thresh in the mill. Dr Anderson came to see Lula she is better to day Emma came & Jennet brought a little wheat to fan. Sam Trainham came by going to Cedar fork I shelled 1 ½ bu corn Sandy sat out some tobacco A very warm day.

Fair very warm/Rain/Cdy cool n/Fair I went to mill carryed corn & went to Hewletts for a comb 10 cts worth of this paper & a 5 cts w of blacken pd 25 cts got a wash tin on credit for 30 cts. Hermon & Havlock came for the old horse power got it & carryed it home. Sandy wed some tobacco gone this evening to John Englands Mr Smith Fannie & Odia came up this morning & returned Mr S has bought Longdens place at $3. per acre I hird of the Indians klling 300 of our men but one got away – [Battle of Little Bighorn, 25-26 June 1876?]

I pd Dr D $2.50 cts for paster hird from Bro Regan he has acepted the care of the church for paster for 12 months at 150. dollars & we find him – is to preach next Sunday we are to meet next Friday to clean out the yard at Carmel old bricks etc etc we went by Providence & dined Bro Baptis & Willard Smith went we came up to S.S. Cedar fork. I had one new scollar at Carmel Jas Cobb Lindon Bibb went to Landora John England was hear this evening Linnie went with him to Landora

Trevillion is ploughing there I hear that Colbert killed himself (a week or so ago) Jenny Lambie is hear this evening Mrs S. was hear to day wants corn Thomasia & I went to Bro Saml to see Mr & Mrs Gouldin they left the morning met with Cary & Lula going to Mrs Nelsons – Lewis is complaining.
