Cdy cold m/Rain/Rain/Fair I went to traps with Sandy caught a black musk rat in big trap put Dick B across river twice cutting wood etc Sandy put his stove up stars papering room etc Johns wife from Landora was hear this evening – some one stole a musk rat skin Lem Luck came by to n I wedged a hoe for harper boy. Edmonds dog went home this morning.

Sandy went to Huletts for a axe fish etc I put the helve in he bought it ground my axe cut wood etc etc Thomasia went to Weltons came back to night Cate Harris at Mrs Lambies Lizzie went down a wile

Snow 4 in/Cdy/Fair cold/Fair The snow fell about 4 or 5 inches sleeted in night I went to steel traps Sandy to the others. we cut & halled wood Sandy & Lizzie gone to Mrs Southworths to night I scraped Otter scin to day all to tail Sandy went to Saverys to day for chair & we sleped with the doar open to night cold as it was.

Jennet came to hall some wood with his ox he & I cut several poles for tobacco house he is to build it for the Tudle I cut wood etc Joh Brooks came & got 1 & ½ dozen eggs at 14 cts I owe him 2 cts Sandy went to Landora & to Old Mrs E with quart going to Richmond with him in wagon I hurt my breast pushing a tree

I cut down wood etc I went to Mrs Lambys field near Canfields for cows ran them up

Fair mild/Cdy/Cdy/Fair I went to Mr Jas Smith to carry my s – shoes went by Bro Lucks. he is to ½ sole them for 50 cts went by A Pollus Lucks & to Chilesburg got John to put a handle in flat iron pd him 20 cts he made 2 swivel links 5 cts pd him got 2 boxes aluim for 10 cts pd for them. the gatewoods wer fox hunting caught one. I sat steel trap that I got from Bro Lucks cutting wood

Fair mild d/Fair/Fair/Fair I scraped the muskrats skins baged them all 29 musk 4 koons 3 minks one otter. Sandy got back this morning from Richmond I went to Mr Smiths for my shoes pd him 50 cts for ½ soling I went by to see Jennet – about the cow money $1.00 saw qtr grey is sick [gray quarter horse] to night put him in garden Mrs Clemy [Clementine?] Chewning died at her fathers.

Cdy/Fair.Cdy/Rain I went to Richmond and carried my skins & soled them for $15.00 & bought 11 traps for $4.65 c my fur. Sandy caught a rat took him and Savery to kill it. Savery got my boat key to go to the sale. Jimmie did not get home stayed all night at brother Sam’s. Dick Buckhannon got Carry to go somewhere no body knows where Lizzie Gwynette and the child went to Mrs Southworths got cabbage Lizzie England came down this evening. Sandy went to the traps on the land. I soled my skins for $15. bought 11 steel traps for $4.65 cts. pd $1.30 cts

Dick Buckhannon got Carrie and went to Sam Buckhannons to a party. Sandy had to go for her this morning. Jim Smith came this evening Jimmie took dinner with him.

I walked from Hewletts – it rained fryday night & Sunday. Sunday night in Richmond & heavy thunder -
