Fair m day/Fair/Cdy/Rain Thomasia & I went to Garlans to see Jane she is very sick went by Providence & by Hunters B, for shoes got mine & Thomasia T. got a card & letter from Lizzie Cary Lizzie E & Jim Wood are hear to n Jas went to mill for flour failed to get it the ground is very wet T & I took up one or 2 bu sweet potatoes have long sprouts on them John fixed fraim in wagon for his & Jas chickens etc

Mrs Southworth came with milk & a l flour John ploughed square in garden Mr Smith came this evening on grey H. I put black hen in coop to lay Jas gone to Jas Smith w boot. Linnie gone to Mrs S for yeast I brought in 2 steel traps to day spitting some blood to day I sat speckled hen on 15 eggs to night.
