Fair/Fair/Cdy/Cdy Sandy & I went to Hewletts Sandy got there too late go down 4 ock I bought 4 lbs sugar 30 cts 4 lbs bacon 1/- & one lb nails 6 cts saw L Terrell at H - Sandy came back Bro Saml came to river & across for Linnie she went to Bro S, Buckhannon sowing guano & ploughing by the stable or corn house & bogs Hen house I planted beens in new ground my corn seed patch a mad dog w by Saverys to Landora & John England killed him

Cdy/Rain a f. d/Cdy/Cdy I helped Buck H to move Fan hen house below mine I gave B some tomatoe plants etc he finished ploughing & manuring the lot by house & commenced over swamp by spring a Mr Haws came by to try to sell trees Sandy went fishing planted some watermellon seed in new ground in  frunt of house Sandy planted more seed & manured them w guano Harriet came this evening & brought ice cream & carryed Thomasia to Providence w her F went to Mrs L & spent day

Fair warm/Cdy/Cdy/Fair I made a bee hive & hived a large swam of bees - planted beens patched fence on swamp in pasture Buckhannon ploughed & manured land for tobacco guanoing in hill & dril halled out the manure out of stable etc he brought my froe gave him lettuce etc Cate & Maggy came this evening M is hear to night Lem Luck came by workg corn etc Sandy went to Richmond this evening on t

Fair/Fair/Fair/Fair A Mr Carter Constable came with & account of Sanders for Sawing $7.87 cts Lem Luck came with 2 planks & a bee hive put dirt ashes & H. manure with it Buckhannon finished the tobacco land & made tomatoe hills for me Harriet Thomasia & children came this morning & returned - I pd Carter $3.00 on account for sawing. Lizzie G & Susa & baby gone to Edmonds. Buck returned frough. yesterday - planted peas in cornfield L Lucks.

Fair/Rain a L/Cdy/Fair I went to see Jennet to get him to plough potatoes in garden irish Waler came & ploughed them I gave his horse 14 years corn he got his dinner & left wed potatoes - Cornelius Robinson came by spring to Landora - I went to Mrs S. for sand to scower took up carpet the buckhannons & Southworths came by going washing. I turned out a dog I caught in trap last night from Mr S. Clifton Mr Smith came this evening -

Rain a good rain/Rain/Fair/Fair Fannie & I went to Providence & stayed till evening borrowed cape of H to ware home Dandridge went to town to day I got a card at Mrs S from boys H shot several birds in garden in chery trees Buckhannon planted out tobacco by the pit & corn house etc - I sat out 28 tomatoe plants by boat landing watered them etc

Fair/Fair/Fair/Fair I went to Saverys for his tudle did not get it I went to Providence & got a mule & cart to carry veal to Chesterfield - left cart at Prov Eugane came to Prov for sweet potatoe plants H & Fan & children went to Hanover - Jennets w came for potatoe plants - dogs fought at Buckhannons last night I gave Sturn a letter for boys 2 cards etc one for Sandy. Buck setting out plants Thomasia & girls went to Mrs Southworths ths evening

Fair/Fair/Fair cool n/Fair I sat out 25 tomatoe plants & watered them. Bro Saml brought over a basket of cabbace plants gave him some S. potatoe plants. I caught a new foundlan dog in trap last night left him in trap We watered & sat out 2 roughs cabbage [?to] 2 girls washed to day I went with Lizzie to Mrs S. carry soap greese L borrowed sugar made strawberry preserves malled popler log -

Fair/Fair/Cdy/Fair I wed potatoes etc in garden reeplanted tomatoe plants & watered them set out 2 roughs cabbage plants & watered them Sue S. & 2 Dervins came spent evening S was called back to see Miss Pennys - Jas Buckhannon choping tobacco ground he found 6 eggs.

Rain a L/Cdy/Fair/Fair Buckhannon came to make hoe helve I put it in for him he sat out some tobacco plants & ploughing watermellon patch Sandy came this morning fishing this evening - child is quite sick - Thomasia went to Mrs S. Otho went to Hewletts for a ceg of sugar Sandy sent up. I lent Otho the gig Cate L is hear to night Lem Luck came by - a Mr Yearman going to open store at Cedar fork set out a row greens watered them

Fair cool d/Fair/Fair/Fair I carryed slop water to Mrs S. & borowed 1 1/2 gallons of flour & meal Mr Smith & Fannie went to Cty Line Otho brought my gig home to night I got him to go to Dr Lins to carry a letter about S child is quite poly Sandy went to Mrs E & returned went to his Aunt Patsys in evening to go fishing in morning - I put a boy over river he came back to n went with Mr S.

Simon brought over a barrell flour that Wm D sent up for veal got $2.00 [2 or 9?] for it Maggy spent day Mrs S. came for slops L & I planted 21 hills gubber peas [peanuts] in new ground Sandy came this evening from Terrells he got a letter from Boys to day Jas B & I made 34 hills for watermellon & musk mellon seed out s pines

Fair/Rain/Rai/Rai I Sheled 1/2 bu corn & caryed it to mill 2 ba corn in 2 bags Sandy & I went to mill in boat Sandy went to Dr Lins & to Hewletts I moved logs from bridge etc while grinding meal - Terrell cutting clover for hay $18. {I planted some pirl beens by my seed corn in new ground - Sandy went to Mrs South. for horse to go for the Dr to see his child quite s.

Lizzie & child both quite sick Tho & Lin are complaining

Buckhannons weeding tobacco by house greaseing [grazing] horse etc Sandy went fishing he is going to see the Dr went Linnie in bed Lizzie up & about child quite poley Sandy went to Mrs S. to try to get a horse failed he borrowed Mr Spicers Mrs Spicer & Mrs Buckhannon came this evening & sat a while Jas & I weed watermellon hills Mr Smith came over from w field child seens to be better to night.
