Rain a Litle/Cdy Misty/Cdy Rain/Rain Mr Ware camne to look at buffalow calf – I set a trap in hot bed Lizzie came home w Miss Nancy Ballard. Cary went home soon this morning boys pulled down the house frame the logs – Cate & Aggy L are in yard. I forgot my meeting day – put wire & rings in hogs noses cutting wood etc Fannie & Linnie went to Landora Mrs S, came spent evening the boys went to mill to see about logs river very high colt got out Jas soled 1 bu corn $1.20 cts.

Lizzie England is down this evening went back. A great many persons killed in capital in Richmond galery fell down [courtroom floor collapsed, 58 killed; Philadelphia Inquirer, 28 Apr. 1870]
