Fair cold/fair/Fair very cold night/Fair I went to Huletts for broad axe pd Mr Burglin $3.50 cts for it bought 16 lbs sole leather 35 cts a lb ˝ lb ginger 50 cts ball thread 12 1/2 cts pd for the things $9.72 cts Luck brought my sleygh home Ct Buttler rode with me from Huletts to mill – Boys halling wood short. Saw Eugene & Cary at Huletts in sleygh

Fair cold d/Fair/Fair/Fair Last night the shop caught fire from chimney burnt my tule chest & tools & others also E T Redds broad (axe) (handle) etc etc Charles Lambie & Mitchies had the fire in shop. we put the fire out after hard fighting & saved house I went to mill with corn went to Ballards etc had 2 ˝ soles put on for whitch I pd 50 cts in full Cary & Saml came over in sleygh Cary & Jas went to Mr Dukes.
