Fair/Fair cool/Fair cool/Fair  Mr R Tompkins walked down this morning Columbia went back with him Harriet went to E hill is there to night I rode to E hill to look at clover went in pasture & plant beds saw – Roxella cow in pasture {ploughed & manured garden halling manure for tobacco at E field ploughing cotton patch thining corn cutting up blue thisle etc

Fair/Fair/Fair/Fair  I went to Carmel & in sight of – the Depot looking for Joh he went to Depot for things meet & salt, 2 sacks 186 lbs bacon, sent to Providence for it, it was not there, but a few persons at Carmel no preacher Dr Dickinson red chapter etc Bro Tom Smith was at meeting going to call Bro Williamson for paster at Cty Line they want him at Carmel sent 2 bu corn to mill for Jerry for Sally Bro Saml, went for Mr Tompkins & Miss Moriah Columbia & Joh are hear went to mill Miss Nancy came, {ploughed tobacco ground by barn & cotton patch pea patch & s potatoe patch halling manure sent to Depot for salt etc

Mary is going up with them to Wm I brought up a bag of meal from mill Bro Saml offered me a plenty tobacco plants {choped over tobacco ground by house scattering manure & ploughing in at E Field halling out manure E Field thining corn at L Grove.

Uncl Anderson made a bottle of blackin I gave Wm Robinson my grass blade to mend Joh Swann came & spent the evening H & S at Mr Southworths or E hill – I patched up the carry all I went to E hill to look at my wheat etc I sawed off a lim of cherry tree E & S carryed some cherrys to there mothers. {started 4 ploughs in corn field ploughing on meadow sent to mill for meal brought a lode planks

Harriet finished my picture to day or nearly {ploughing corn by ivy hill & Mr S, draw bars & near meadow thining corn cut a lode clover weeding corn

Fair/Rain a pretty shower/Fair/Fair  I put a hinge on sellar doar etc ploughing corn by grave yard set out some tobacco plants I rode to E hill to look at my wheat saw Dr Lin my wheat is ripe in places made a ram rod to my gun {ploughing corn by tick spring & grave yard etc set out some tobacco plants choping the briers & bushes out of corn field sent for some cabbage plants etc on the river

Fanny went the children sang for the – book to day sung very well we chose Bro Poindexter for paster to day 24. to 18 the 18 for Bro Williamson the most of the members promised to meet every Sunday & help the paster Sister Sarah at meeting Sister Conelia Bro S, Sam S, dined with us at Carmel to day – Thomasia & went to E hill this morning Mrs Swann came to night
