F L Frost/Fair/Frost/Fair I went with L Terrell to ivy hill he went for rocks I went with – E Redd to Canfields I killed 5 birds Canfields asked 20 dollars for his L boys caught 5 H Bob caught one ice pond Bettie & Emily came over started home Bettie had a fall hirt her back etc came back Horse ran off etc {sowed 1 1/2 bu wheat on swamp ice pond ploughing by corn house halled a lode wood halling corn shucking Joh cutting poles for stack frame cleaning out water furrows E field wheat patch back of barn on swamp etc

Fair cool morning/Fair mild smoky/Fair/Fair smoky  Mr Vass came hear to breakfast – we went to E hill saw Mr Sutton about his corn, went over the field rented him Edge hill for part of the crop I went to river killed a duck at bote John went to Bro Saml with Cary & Emily James came back Robert came up {sowed a 1/2 bu wheat ploughing back of turkey house cutting down corn shucking halling etc diging holes for shelter halled a lode wood & poles for shelter etc sent 1 bl new corn to mill

Fair/Cdy/Cdy/Cdy  I worked on cow shelter E field back of ice house, faned out some wheat altered a passel of shotes, lent my ox cart to Sutton sent to Mr Smiths shop for Sister Sarah, buggy had – new shavs & bar put to it Robert carryed it down to the Dr, put it behind the wagon etc {faned out some wheat sowed 2 bu by old hen-house & grave yard rakg it in etc cutting down corn hallling shucking etc etc working on cow shelter putting away stalks etc

Clarrence got shot badly yesterday by John shooting at a bird etc Miss duke at Bro S, went back home & Ella came up this evening Boys went to Providence etc came back {halling fodder finished put top on shelter halled up some corn shucking etc sent to mill for 1/2 bl meal

Fair cool/Fair/Fair/Fair  I went to Mr Henry Tylers in Louisa & got 17 pair a pair for Mr Taylor $2.00 spoke for a pair boots & 4 pair shoes for self & family I got 20 apple trees at beverdam paid $5. Came from the north {weighted shelter halling up corn shucking etc Bob sowed 1/2 bu wheat at E hill ploughing it in etc sowed it for Mr Vass.

Cdy/Fair/Fair/Fair  I went to Mr Southworths to look at 2 hogs went to E hill sowed wheat 2 1/2 bu finished ploughing in etc I set out 15 apple trees in frunt of the house have 21 in all burried 6 caught 16 pigs put them in pen killed a shote tonight etc I spoke to Page to save the birds etc I planted 25 or 30 grains rye northern rye Liz at Mr S, Sal is hear Anna has rockaway second handed {Finished sowing wheat at E hill for Mr Vass – sowed 2 1/2 bu 3 in all or a litle over dug holes for apple trees halled manure for trees planted 15 – halling up corn shucking etc halled a lode wood killed a shote etc etc etc etc

Page Sutton & Arch came by going to J Dickinsons, Bettie & Emily came over to Drawing the Boys went to turn out I saw Mr Thacker at mill. Terrells & Southworth soot was to come in to day (Bob finished putting away the greens pulling - corn halling cutting down halling halled a lode of tags put them on potatoes irish shelling corn halled 2 lodes wood etc

Joh carryed a log & koon, went for meal this evening Bob fallowing on the hill by cotton patch for corn commenced. Halling up corn & shucking to night
