I pd to E W Tompkins $69.85 cts pd to Chile & Chenry $77.78 cts [estab. 1858, agricultural implements] pd to    pd to W P Taylor for shoes $6.75 cts. Pd for candy etc 50¢ pd $1.40 cts on cars pd L W Redd $3.00 planting corn sent to Depot for things got as far as old Chesterfield steer gave out left the cart & things with Mr Carpenter -

Thomasia got a letter from Llewellyn exposed to measles {ploughing by Anna, & barn ploughed square in garden manured it etc halling manure on the tobacco lot by Anna, garden halling rails etc sent corn to mill for Mr Taylor & self shelled etc

Bettie Ann came home Mr Sutton came by went towards mill Martha moved down to day. I planted some tomatoe plants put a bottom in barrell Joh had some sole leather for pr shoes {sowed 7 1/2 bushels oats E hill on river S. – timothy seed fencing on pasture fence moved Martha down [planted cabbace plants & tomato plants.

Rain snow very cool d/cdy, windy evening/cdy/F  the snow feel about ¾ or 1 in deep in places melted very fast cold & very windy evening the fence blew down several times put it up & staked it down Mr Sut came by went to rale road for things etc I sent for my shoes of Mr Clark – Robert acme up brought me a letter from Dr G {shelled corn sent to mill for meal twice halling wood putting up fence by Anna, that blew down
