Fair a large frost I went to E field to cut tobacco went to the mill this evening to see about meal etc halled a lode poles to fix up Ma, wagon house to put my tobacco in {cutting & suckering tobacco at E field sent to mill for meal etc

Fair mild day I went to Dr Lins for some ointment for my leg tole him about my mashine plan etc went to Bro Saml, to get a piece plank etc Bro S. in Richmond Saml came over to night with rifle to go hunting Llewellyn went in my Barouch with Sister Sarah to Mr Talleys {cutting tobacco at E. hill & hanging at E field.

Rain this evening a hard one I carryed Saml to Ma, to Carmel in my carriage Bro Thomas preached text 2nd Peter 3rd chapt 18 verse Saml & I went to look for squirls I killed one hird several Saml – went home this evening sent John to Providence to carry yarn etc – {hanging tobaco at E field tying up tops etc

Fair cool day I went to E field & to Ma, fixed up the wagon house to put my tobacco in Bro Saml Molly & Betty came over I went to Carmel & to Providence saw John Quarles there saw Saml & girls at barn they went in at Anna, Mr Wiltshire was there {cutting tobacco at E field halling it to Ma, hanging up in wagon house – suckering at old place etc etc

Rain a little a shower last night cdy most d. warm day I went to Linzy Terrells for change he paid Hart & Hays $73.75 sent back $26.30 cts change I got a letter from S. McGruder,s & Sons about guano money [S. McGruder & Sons was a wholesale and retail grocer and commission merchant in Richmond, Virginia] thad Dandridge was to pay them last winter the child is sick sent to Providence for medicine & sent to Dr Lins to night for him {hanging tobacco at E hill halled some from Locus Grove riveing sticks etc halled poles for bars etc etc shelled a turn corn the last old & sent it to mill

Rainy morning a heavy rain I went to E field to attend to faning out wheat to go to mill sent   bushels I carryed John with me to Bro Lucks after my wheels moddle wheels the makg $10. Joh Terrrell & Joh Swann went home this evening Llewellyn went with them sent to Dr this evening Dr Lin came tonight to see the child Linnae I rove some tobacco sticks faning wheat etc {hanging tobacco leaves commenced p for wheat tobacco lot by barn E field faning wheat sent it to mill    bu cutting tops etc

Rainyy day the heaviest rain I have seen for a long time thundered etc I carryed my wheels to the Boling Green to have them ironed, modde [model?] wagon, by Mr Jones saw Bullard I paid him 55 cts for Dr Lunsford for books pd 45 cts for horse feeds the Dr came to see child to day width of body 2 ft 8 in clear 3 ft from axle body 3 1/2 or 4 feet {cutting tops tying up tobacco leaves at E field etc

Fair nearly a clear day cool morning I went to Old place & Ma, saw Mrs Swann there, went to the mill to see about flour had 60 lbs sent up got a turn meal out of the mill 1/2 bl saw the Dr pass. James T, was sick to day Llewellyn came home to night & Susansouthwoiorth ssent a plain to mill got a plank of Edmond & pd him 60 cts for Bartlett {finished cutting tobacco to day sent to mill for Mr Taylors meal & 60 lbs flour sent barrells down sent for a turn meal 1/2 bl got 2 bu corn from Ma, for Mr Taylor tying up leaves etc

Fair I went to L Terells & to see Henry Martin about work etc his family was sick. Dr Swann came to see Mrs Martin she has a son. – came by E Cobbs & John Swann, swaped for 16 bushels wheat I gave white for red 10 cts difference & agreed to take a tun of guano of Mrs Cobbs for $61.55 cts. John McL Anderson came up to day & Mis Swann went to Ma, {Bob ploughing tobacco lot by Anna, halling up tobacco hanging etc faned wheat to swap with E Cobbs

Fair a cool windy day I made a new axle tree to ox cart Lewis Redd came to get me to go hunting for turkeys went back to Ma, Bob made double bar for plough several of the children are sick with coles etc I saw a great light from a star a black child got burnt nearly to death at J G Dickinson {fallowing up tobacco ground at E field getting tobacco sticks etc hanging tobacco etc etc

Fair a large very larte frost etc very cold morning I went to Bro Saml, to breakfast Mrs Swann was there Bro Saml & Lewis went with me turkey hunting we shot at a turkey by Quarles, mill I gave Bro Saml $15. to pay Sam C Redd money borrowed gave him $20. saw Edm Anderson & others near E A, gate Edmond came to night Mrs Swann & Joh at home {halled a lode wood & plank from the mill sent a turn corn to mill from Ma, finished diging sweet potatoes etc

Cloudy day Rain a few drops after sundown I went to Ma, to cover her tobacco house covered one side with plank Robert helped. a Mr Phillips came with an account from Parrish – for shoes to the amount of $8.25 cts pd hhim $5. & gave him an order of Bro Saml for $3.25 cts went to Ma, in evening & finished nailing planks etc Columbia went to Ma, I had a chil {sowing wheat by Anna E field 2 1/2 bu rakg in on tobacco land tying up tobacco leaves putting tops in piles etc
