Fair a very cold day & very windy a north west win cold night last & windy. I went to Lowerys where they wer malling rails went to my plant bed covered it with cedar brush I went – to traps caught a large cat in box-trap turned him loos moved steel trap Llewellyn went to Ma, carryed 2 letters one for Dr Spindle & one for Harriet Ann {cutting & halling wood, covered plant bed with pine & Cedar brush, out gate Lanzy malling rails etc Mr Ls land

Fair a cold morning mild evening I went to Ma, & cut down a ded – cedar in grave yard cut off 2 stocks & 2 small ones 7 feet long Thomasia & girls & Llewellyn went to Providence I went down to Providence got there about 12 ock. Mrs Anderson is there Tom Smith came hear this evening to see me for Vass Edmond came to night, commenced sowing oats – {sowing oat this evening rakg in in etc sowed 9 bushels cutting down stalks – carryed a oak stock to mill & brought tobacco staves sent for a bl flour etc

Fair a cold windy day, I finished my horse cart saddle makg britching for cart [breeching strap, enabling horse to brake the load] I went to store bought collar $1.25 cts – hames 50 cts 2 pair traces $1.20 curry comb 12 1/2 cts. $3.07 cts $3.07 – saw Wm Noel at store I went by Tates etc {shelled corn 4 bu sent to mill etc ploughing grubing halling rails to fence by gate By Ma, Lanzy got some hook poles malling rails etc etc

Fair a warm morning I went down to E Field with Edmond, Canfield – came up with my wheat 10 1/2 bushels wheat he borrowed last fall I put a bottom in a cask or tub & comenced prizeing Ma, tobacco I weighed it, it weighed 707 lbs leaf, Robert helping to prize. Collins came by barn Llewellyn got a letter from Garriet H at Mr Southworths Miss Ralph there {Bob sowed 8 bushels oats rakg in prizeing tobacco for Ma, halling straw etc grubing etc

I went to my – tobacco bed out gate comeing up Miss Ralph starts home to day {ploughing for oats faned out 25 bushels wheat for self and 8 bushels dirty wheat prizeing tobacco for Ma, halling for Canfields grubing etc etc etc etc etc
