Fair a warm d - I went to Ma,s & to the mill went to hanover saw Edmond borrowed his dog [bray?] spindle & John Hulett traded horses a bsay for grey I went to the mill this evening - for dog saw Bro Saml at mill & Lin Edmond & others expected to brake the dam Mr Mahon came & carryed Dutch home Llewellyn & Collins went walking siftered a bag guano & sowed it by out gate E Field got a part of the land redy for Tobacco weeding - corn potatoes sweet watered plant beds etc |

Fair a very warm day I sheared my sheep the ram had 7 1/2 lbs wool 44 in all from 11 sheep I went to Mr Taylors to cary the 2 calvs or yerlings stoped at ma,s saw Mrs Luck there carryed Thomasia to Mr G Southworth, went to the mill with Mr Southworth I saw Dr Lin Collins Hancock & others at the mill they all wer washing etc Sister Sarah & Llewellyn went to Bro Samls sheared my sheep 44 lbs unwashed I marked 4 ewes & turned them out weeding corn watered plant beds |

Rain in morning & evening BroSam & I rode to island foard to look at the river pass foarding at mill etc Sam went to Lins at night etc ploughing at the old place for tobacco put up a pair bars at E Field thining corn etc etc |

Rainy showery evening I went with Thomasia & Llewellyn Harriet & Lizy to CarmelBro Trimble preached text 14 verse 6th Chapter fo Galatains he went to Bro Saml home but a few persons there I gave 46 cts to Bro Trimble Lewis at Ma,s Mr Gouldin ploughing at old place for tobacco halling out the manure there etc planting & ree planting tobacco thining corn etc |

Rain a pretty shower I went to Ma,s to see Mr Gouldin saw Lewis cutting box sticks etc I went to the mill for umbrella Ma,s spoke to Anna about the fowls etc went to Locust Grove Bob ploughing around the house etc etc came home & prepaired some corn for Anna,s fowls I went to Ma pasture Baly & Tom Swann came I gave Tom S my note for $6.95 cts for R - B Winston on Mr Taylors account I set out tomatoe - plants by shop ploughing by old place halling manure in the garden thining corn etc |

Cdy most of the day warm I worked on horse cart to day carryed some salt corn & sowed it in my wheat patch by Ann Thomasia Lizy & I walked to river I found a fish trap on the island ploughing tobacco - Land at End Field wormed it etc manured with guano halled 3 or 4 loads down thining corn weeding |

Rain a shower this evenng I went to Providence & carryed 2 cows Emma & Mayday Barbara & Louisa are at Providence the Dr. gave me some tobacco plants I went to E Field to set out tobacco etc Wm Robinson had 1/2 bushel of irish potatoes 2/3 d & 25 cts that Lucy sent - got 1 dozen plated spoons. Daniel Cooper died to day carryed 3 bags of guanto to E Field & sowed it ploughed it in. Sent to Mr Renols for tobacco plants the Dr had sent corn to the mill etc etc |

I fixed a bench under starse or shelf I went to Mr Buttlers & to Bro Saml, Mrs Wheat was there Sam & Mollie went to Providence Barbara came over me to Ma,s Finished setting tobacco by E Field ploughing & rakg at Locust Grove for tobacco wed sweet potatoes scattered the manure in garden |

Rain a little to day a pretty rain last night I went to L Terrells & store bought 1 1/4 ds bed tick for 21cts saw old W. Dr Winn & others Dickinson had Tates land deeded to him in trust went to the old place setting out tobacco stoped at Ma, I went to L Terrells this evening Dr D was there gave 2 pr shoes to try etc Terrell had a shed put to his house Harriet went to Mrs Willshirs John & Jimy went to river I went for them etc etc etc setting out tobacco at Locust Grove and ploughing sowing guano etc |

Rainy evening a pretty rain I planted water mellon seed the ballance of the patch Manured it from the shop Mr Mahon came for corn I gave him some water mellon seed the children did not get home to night finished tobacco ground at L. G. and set out some plants ploughed potatoe patch etc throughing dirt to the corn commenced weeding & thining etc etc |

Rain a few drops rained most of the night I went to the old place set out tobacco finished planting & reeplanting sent to Providence for plants did n ot get enough to reeplant with Cousin Billy Redd died last March I understand. Mrs Wood is quite sick I stoped at Ma,s Thomasia got a letter from Harrie[t] to day setting out tobacco reeplanting etc planted my seed irish potatoes by the shop set out some potatoe plants & warted [watered] some of them |

Fair warm day I fixed a bottoom in the horse cart & sent to the mill with 1/2 barrell corn for Mahon and a turn for Mr Taylor etc sent to Bro Samls for Tobacco plants & to Dr Lins for cabbage plants Jessey broke the axle tree of the horse cart in ma,s I handled a rake etc etc we went to Providence & spent the day John & I gathered some turnip seed Barbara & Louisa at Prov ploughed potatoe patch sweet & Llewellyns - tobacco patch ploughed my water mellon patch etc hilled up the potatoes wed the corn set out the tobacco by out gate E Field & greens in garden etc etc |

Rain this evening a very hard wind blew down the fence & the cows & steers came in the corn put up the fence put up the wheet shocks that blew down cutting wheet Peter commenced cutting to day about 12 ock cut till rain 2 or 3 hours Ma, rode to mill horse taken sick Emily Talley at Ma, saw Edmond Redd cutting wheat by Canfields reeplanting tobacco putg up wheat shocks etc |
