Cdy morning fair evening Thomasia & 2 children went to Bro Saml, met with Emma & Betty Redd etc on there way to Ma,s they went back with us Molly & Betty wer at home Bro S & wife went to the fair Lewis got back to day or two ago went to fair I had my boots half sowled & heeled - Left H & Lizy at Ma,s - opening water furrows beeting down clods in tobacco patch sent to Landora for hogs they got away hallilng up corn & shucking to night ploughing in field no 1 for rye etc etc |

Rain a little this evening warm day cdy & misty, I went to Ma,s & fixed her clock cleaned it, dined there got her oxen to go for my cart at Edmonds left it at Ma,s saw old kit horse Barbara came up this evening sent to wm Robinson & mak a yoke iron one broke etc (corn 4 bls in barn) halling up corn shucking etc ploughing for rye cutting down corn etc put away 1 cart lode corn 4 barrells |

Rainy day warm shelled corn the last old corn sent to Mr Taylor & self put away 2 loads corn I fixed up a yoke leathered it etc Columbia came up this evening & went back to Ma,s made cow pan (8 loads corn) shelled corn sent to mill Mr T & self the last old corn, put up 2 cart loads of corn,etc cleaned out corn house killed Lowerys calf halled a load wood |

Rain this morning - cdy day I put a plank bottom in wood cart halling up corn 3 loads & a lode wood I carryed Cary over home, saw Tom there Llewellyn came by Mr Buttlers for my waist coat - sent to Landora for 2 pigs or hogs halled a load wood |

Cdy day I went to new ground to get someslab timber for slabs to cover the corn house Edge Hill I killed 3 birds & one Hair 1 squirl put 3 cart loads of corn & 2 barrells in the barn shed (14 bls corn) halling up corn 4 loads cut & halled some slab timber put up 3 loads corn & 2 barrells in the barn shed (14 bls corn) halling up corn 4 loads cut & halled some slab timber put up 3 loads corn & 2 bls shucking etc |

Fair warm day Mr Mahon came to day to rive the slabs [some?] 4 hundred, made a ladder, got hear 1/2 hour les one & left before sundown halling corn shucking cutting down etc etc |

Rainy morning striping tobacco I went to look for the turkeys & saw a gobler killed a bird & squirl Llewellyn one squirl shelled a turn of corn striping tobacco halled a load corn & wood shucking etc |

Fair mild deay I went to lookfor a turkey Llewellyn & shot at him I killed a bird Mr Mahon & I covered the corn house & hued some rafters for cow shelter killed a beef cow Columbia came up this evening halling up corn shuckingkilled a beef etc |

Cdy most of the day put up 30 bls of corn in corn house 7 cart lodes 4 bls in a lode & 2 bls I went hunting this evening killed a hair in Ma,s pasture saw Emily talley Dr Prat at Ma,s clarence came for the girls Harriwet & John went with them home etc beef weighed 215 lbs (30 bls corn) 60 inall housed 30 bbls of corn cut out beef sent 57 lbs to Mahon at 7₵ to mill the beef 215 lbs halling woode ploughing put up a stack of fodder sent corn to mill |

Rain fine cdy day cut the corn down by rockspring & shucked it made 2 1/2 bls Prat went home this morning from Ma,s (2 1/2 bls corn in H) halling up corn from rock spring put 2 1/2bls in corn house hallingcorn from new ground by the shop & shucked it out pulling it off the stalks ploughing for rye etc |

Fair cool I sowed 4 1/2 bu rye & raked it in in field no 1. Mahon came to breakfast & worked the ballanceof day on the cow shelter sent Llewellyn to store for 4 lbs shot & box caps cost 43 cts Llewellyn went to Providence this evening we hued laths for cow shelter (sowed 4 1/2 bu rye) sowed 4 1/2 bushels of rye field no. 1. halling up corn, rafters, laths etc pulling off corn shucking corn etc etc |

Fair mild day I went to slash for slab timber cut down 5 trees got up 3 into slab timber Thomasia & Llewellyn & small children went to Bro Saml,s this morning expects to spend the night the girls from Mr Southworths ca[me] over this evening Mr Mahon at work Edmond came to night got rid of his old mare kit halling up corn halled 2 loads slab timber pulling of corn shucking etc ploughing |

Fair very warm d Lewis went to store this morning Mr Mahon finished the slab timber that was up hear I put on one corse of slabs on shelter. Ella came up to day & spent the day & brought Thomasia a set of spoons - Columbia Swann came to day ploughing for rye halling up corn shucking etc nailing on slabs etc |

Cdy day cool we put 2 coarses on shed Mahon rived a few slabs etc the taner came by - with my leather 4 sides put up all the corn that was made in new ground made about 30 barrells makg 92 1/2 shucked out & housed Llewellyn carryed my gun lock to store for Collins to carry to Richmond (corn 30 bls) (rye sowed 8 bushels in all) finished sowing of rye 3 1/2 bu put 30 bls corn in house sent to mill & for lode slab timber etc halled a lode corn up out field the last - by shop |

Fair a very large frost indeed cold morning I went to slash for slab timber got one tree by old shop saw Bro Saml at Ma,s going to Richmond in the morning I ate some very fine hairs I went to the store Sm, & Collins bought 9 yrds of Janes [twill with different front and back -- like denim] 10 cts one hat $3.50 cts Mr Taylor saw a gobler in new ground halled a lode of corn shucked it and halled a lode slab timber rails etc fenced in fodder stackg put away the greens |

Fair a very cold morning & a large frost I went to look for turkeys Llewellyn hird them yelp. put 37 bls of corn in corn house & cut a dore over the other I went to look for the turkeys in Mr Harrises killed a bird my barouch came home from Ma,s top toarned [torn] Bob caught a mink in swamp (37 bls corn) put up 37 bls corn pulling off on hill by rock spring put 2 cart foder in the in the shucks |
