Fair very warm day I went to Carmel to meeting Bro Coleman preached. I met Bro Davist going to Beverdam Moncy at Providence Bro Saml & Molly & Sam at meeting Bro Camp Kitty S dined hear to day - I collected one dollar & a half for well at Carmel

Fair warm I went to Ma,s & E Field Dr A & Dr Lin wer at Anna, to see Lucy - Quarles very sick I went down this evening Edmond Redd came by & went to look for Negr woman above hearleft his mule hear ploughing corn the river finished by ditch E Field weeding corn put guano around some corn etc ploughing tobacco by Anna,s etc

Rainy evening a heavy one Mr Hudson & Thacker came by & dined and went to hanover I rode to steep hill gathered some R S. grass seed gave H some wheat to sow sent to Mill for meal cutting wheat ree planting tobacco etc thined cotton etc etc

Rain a heavy rain at Bro Saml's I went over in the evening for a pr shoes for Thomasia spent the night John sick finished cutting wheat ploughing corn cymblain & thining corn etc

Rain a good one I came from Bro Samls after breakfast cameby T Castle home brought a pr shoes for Thomasia I went to Carmel to attend to well had a heavy rain at Carmel John hanes is to dig it Bro Anderson Stevens & J W Turner wer there saw John Quarles & J Chanler fixed the lot fence & Bars thining corn etc.

Rain showery morning a heavy rain last night cool day the river is a riseing, right full, I rode to Ma,s pasture etc salted stock, came by Ma, matching trees apple thining corn planted pirl beans cutting oats that church bugs dried up halled a lode feedeing onthem cleaned out barn shed etc put manure around young trees in orchard-

Fair a cool day - Thomasia Lizy & I went to Terrells store & bought some goods to the amount of $2.96 I went to Mr Harrises - he is cutting his oats - promised to send me his male hog went to Ma,s s ate some frozen apricot cream Ann at Ma,s went to E Field to see July Ann & her house etc she is sick sent a plough to Wm sweet potatoes weeding peas etc

Rain a light shower warm I wed my seed potatoes etc seat to Mr Harrises for a male hog put him pen on swamp with white sow I went down to E Field & put a part of a cover on Bobs house saw Smiths at Anna,s sent to Terrells bucket etc 58 cts Finished ploughing the corn onthe river. wed peas etc weeding tobacco by Anna,s manuring the greens in garden

Rain soon in the morning. it rained last night a pretty rai - I went to T Castle carryed the children met with John & the Dr I shot some birds got some plums I went to steep hill gathered my R garss seed went to Ma,s got a pine splilnter out Melys throat etc etc went to E Field weeding tobacco etc sent cotton to Miss Mary G ploughing corn tobacco cotton etc weeding tobacco cotton etc etc

Fair very warm day Thomasia & I went to E Field to the tobacco lot weeding etc sent for Old Lucy to see Martha she has a girl Ann at Ma,s I halled up 2 loads wheat ploughing & weeding tobacco by Anna ploughed irish potatoes etc ploughed cotton peas throughing the dirt to the corn back of the shop etc new ground some of it is silking  tassling etc.

Rain a heavy rain this evening I set out the ballance of the potatoes irish Charles Gouldin & Saml C came from Solselvania [Spottsylvani?] Edmond & Llewellyn came while at super [supper] I rote a letter to Sister Sophia about renting Locus Grove & a letter to Mr Wm Dandridge ploughing cutting out sent to mill for corn meal etc

Fair warm day Bro Saml & Edmond went home this morning Llewellyn went with him Edmond I went to Carmel Bro Bray preached they are diging the well at Carmel we had a a meeting of the Sons & broke up the Division Ann & Lucy came up this evening & stayed a while Wm Robinson came to put old shoe on Ben cleaning out the walk in garden cutting oats etc

Fair warm day I went to Ma,s brought up arole cloth from Ma,s that came from Providence salted the colt Ann at Ma,s I brought up a twig of the Queen apple & budded 2 or 3 trees. [May Queen, yellow eating apple] parted calf Ma,s July Ann laid up to day I wed potatoes etc etc Simon came to know if he could cut oats ploughing tobacco weedeing etc cutting oats etc etc halled up 3 loads wheat finished

Fair very warm day I put a part of the hogs in pasture by the barn on H Creek etc I went to Cty Line Bro Burrows & Bray preached Marshal at meeting - spoke to L Terrell to lend me 19 dollars promised to lend it etc dined with Ma, & girls patched up the pasture fence put hogs in a pen ploughing & weeding tobacco by Anna,s sent to Depot for meat & sugar
