Fair mild day I moved the little house in garden & underpined it patched up the garden planted out a wax chery tree in corner of the garden by the little grove & dug holes for pair trees & apple sent Bob to Depot with a barrell of fowls moved a house in garden patched it up diging holes for apple trees

Cdy most of the day I went to Ma,s & old place for apple trees brought up 50 trees budded & grafted set out 2 pair trees from Anna, or near in my field set out 28 apple trees etc burryed some goard seed sent Mr Southworth 2 bu of corn borrowed some time since I paid Wm Robinson $2.00 on Smiths account diging holes for apple trees sent to mill sent 1/2 bu of corn to mill for Mr John Noel at $2.50 cts a bl dug up 50 od trees set out 30 trees & some raspberry bushes halling manure for apple trees burning brush etc

Cdy most of the day finished diging holes for apple trees set out 12. Taylor S Luck came to look at a steer for Ct Bib planted irish potatoes etc Llewellyn went to Smiths store got a pr shoes had none saw Geo Terrell & some hogs ploughed a square in garden & raked & ploughed irish potatoe patch planted 4 rows manured it with guano & chalf dug holes for apple trees 22 set out 12 trees halled manure for it etc beet up bag of guano burning brush

Rainy morning I went to Ma,s to go to meeting with Ma, we went to Providence to get out rain etc staid to dinner met Charles the Dr went to see Sister Emily Thomasia & children came down I brought Ma, home & went back to Providence halled up a stack of hay finished setting out apple trees planted 7 or 8 roughs of potatoes etc fencing by rock spring

Fair a very pretty day Thomasia went to meeting with Ella I went down saw Cousin George Redd cousin Billy at J Hacketts Bro Coalman preached Bro Fox spoke Bro Saml went by Hacketts Molly went to Providence & dined we went to see Johns chickens & around I put my name for 8 dollars to Bro Coalman

Fair cool day or morning triming my apple trees & working them grafted the pair tree & grape vine etc fire got away by meadow spring at Ma, I went to Ma,s by Anna,s got some twigs to graft Wiltcher came by Tate & Hall working on house at Anna, Lucy R went to the Talleys to scool ploughing for oats by Anna,s halling rails grubing burning brush malling & halled straw from barn

Cdy most of the day I lent Ma, my mule to go to Depot brought up 1 bu clover seed for me Thomasia & I went to T. Castle for some flowers trees etc set out some in the garden & around yard set some 1/2 do cut paper mulberry tree by the spring set out a peach tree etc Wm Robinson came to work to night. Bob ploughing by loar barn for oats malling halling rails wood & grubing burning brush etc

Rain a little this morning cdy most of the day I went to loar barn carryed 7 bu of oats & bag guano Llewellyn came home saw some wild turkeys in Ma,s I grafted walnut tree with pick con [pecan] nuts & cherry tree apple trees etc. Horse pastures May & June Wm Robinson at work in my shop or is expected so to day Bob ploughing for oats shelled corn sent to 2 turns to mill covered plant bed in garden malling halling grubing etc

Fair cool day I went to the lore barn faned out 12 1/2 bu wheat sent it to Quarles to grind sent 1/2 bu of corn to Isack for hominey I went to Division Bro S & Mr Noel wer there in morning I went by Mr Noels & B Trevillions brought up a bush of colieanthis from Ma,s and set it out. Bob carryed 12 1/2 bu of wheat to Quarles fencing back of Moriah house etc

Fair a mild day I caught 1 fish finished sowing clover seed & oats sowed 3 kinds to day back of kitchen rakg up the wheat & clover seed ploughed garden etc I went to Ma,s this evening Betys chile is dead finished sowing the oat land that I have sowed 1 bu to day sowed 16 1/2 in all rakg wheat land sowed clover seed in all wheat land halling dirt from H creek to cymblain patch garden halled a lode of manure in it grubing etc

Fair warm day I put pieces on frame in garden planted peas carriots etc Thomasia and I walked to Mr Harris,s saw Cousin Lucy & others wer at Mr Hs I set out some Peonys in garden Llewellyn caught a fine chance fish finished rakg wheat ploughed the patches & ploughing the meadow for corn diging & holes for manure for symblains makg hills & grubing etc

Fair mild day I went to Ct Bib home to look at his steers he came down to look at my steers He bought Darlin gave me 20 dollars I met Wm Joel I went to Bro Samls this evening to look for a cow Bro Saml came with me to Mr Gouldins saw Mr Gouldin Dr Gouldin is at Ma, & Molly Lou Ma, had 10 bushels of my oats to day part of the 15 bu shelled corn & sent to the mill ploughing in the meadow finished it planted some irish potatoes guanoed them grub etc makg hills for cymblings etc

Fair a cool day I sent Darlin to Ct Bibb sent for Quarles for flour got 2 barrells to day I walked to Ma, went with Dr Gouldins to Bro Samls I rode to Mr Noels to look at his cows we came to Mr Gouldins & dined with Edmond & the Dr I came over home walked I went to Terrells got a pair shoes pd $2.50 cts bought a gallon of molaces pd 45 cts & a tea pot pd 30 cts he soled a cap for me for $1.00 sent to Quarleses for flour grubing halling wood etc working on cymblain patch

Fair very cold morning indeed saw ice 1/2 inch thick sent the hands to mill and moved the saw carryed a log brought back tobacco staves [square sticks] I went to Gatewoods store bought a pair ranes [reins] gave 62 1/2 cts went to Smiths store pd him $1.00 for sugar bought some tea bell [hand bell] etc pd him $1.16 cts. I went to Ma, Wm Crawford bought 8 sheep & lambs for 3 dollars saw James Goodloe promised to let me have a cow for $15. spoke to Dr Win to plug Thomasia teeth etc moved the saw at mill carryed a log to mill rakg the corn land put a cow in the tobacco shed brought her from Ma,s halling wood grubing

Snow Hail & rain it commenced snowing lastnight before day Llewellyn & I started to Blantons to look at cow stoped at Terrells store I bought an auger 70 cts a water 37 1/2 cts got a pr shoes for Llewellyn I went to Mrs Terrells to get a cow bought a cow of Wm Terrell for sixteen dollars pd him the money I dined at Mrs Ts stoped at Winstons looked at his account halleed a lode straw sent Bob to Depot for plaster rakg etc shelled a turn or two of corn

Rain foggy day I went to Mrs Terrells for a cow carryed Llewellyn John & Bartlett I paid Mrs Terrell her intrust money twenty nine dollars & 44 cts I brought the cow home I met Wm Noel, stoped at Windsons shop settled with him in fall I paid him $4.65 cts pd me 10 dollars Agness hire stoped at Terrells store bought bought some things & pd off my shoe bill makg in all $4.62 cts Bro Coalman preached Bro Estice funeral sermond this evening sewed 4 barrells of plaster to day on clover next to River sent to Depot for the ballance 4 barrells carryed the gate up shop burning brush cutting etc
