Fair a very cool day I went with Bro. Davist to Cty Line Bro Rice preached I pd $1.00 for his meeting house for Thomasia & pd $2.50 cts for other purpices mission & Bro Allen but few persons I rode to Ma,s Lucy came over from Mr Tallys rode in my field to look at oats & rye Ella at Anna,s Robinson got 5 lbs iron for Wiltcher of Wm Swann's set out potatoe plants reeplanting corn in the new ground weeding etc planted peas in orchard ploughed the lan etc ploughed cotton runing cultivater in corn etc

Fair cool day cold morning I went to Ma,s went there to Carmel Bro Rice preached I pd Bro James Luck $3.00 to go to Stanton Church Charles went to Ma,s Mr Gouldin talks of going to Kentucky tomorrow I made a part of the fence on river 2 or 3 panels made a troft for sheep tar troft ploughing corn by potatoe patch & barn rakg this by house & spring wed the cotton patch weeding corn etc

Harris expects to be confined. Edmond wants to go to Kentucky with Mr Gouldin meeting at Lins among the blacks Dr Lin went up to night

Rain this evening the Dr sentup to let us know Llewellyn was sick Thomasia & I went down this evening in barouch brought H & Llewellyn up brought up some rose twigs & some turnip seed the Dr gave me went to lower barn for wheat etc saw all Ma,s cows in my oats set out several rows of straw berry vines in loar square. Miss Mary Hill gave me some paper, ploughed cymblain patch & square in garden rakg it & cut & halled up wheat  etc etc from loar barn shelling corn set out straw berry vines etc

Fair mild day sawed off better been poles & put them in from kitchen made of seder Thomasia & I went to ivy hill for straw berries I set out some tomatoe plants Ma, sent for someplanks flooring Llewellyn at home today Robert hallingrock for well at Ma,s put in some poles for B. beens faned out 5 bu wheat sent it to mill sent somefor chop corn etc cutting clover ploughing potatoes thinning corn workg in garden etc.

Fair most of the day a few drops rain this evening I fixed box at spring for milk put lock on etc I went to Terrells bought 28 cts worth soap I went to Mr G Southworth,s & bought a short yeared lamb for $2.50 cts went by Ma,s the old man has finished the well cut my forward wheat this evening Cousin Frances Harris came down this evening ploughed potatoe patches wed them ploughed peas weeding them etc cut the forward wheat weeding garden etc

Fair warm day I went to Mr George Southworth,s for a sheep pd him $2.50cts for him pd for book rustor etc 75 cts he pd me for beef corn etc $3.40 cts I pd for straw the balance $1.23 cts Ma sent to Dr Gouldins for fish Bro Saml came spayed 5 pigs I went with him to Ma,s & by Canfields saw 2 sheep of Ma,s  in the River killed by dogs Llewellyn went to Wm Terrells last night Molly & Edmond went to Richmond yesterday goingto come up to day Lanzy went for sheep sent some timber to Bro Lucks to have pair wheels made ploughed sweet potatoe patch manured a part of it throughing dirt to corn in front of the house sent to Bro Smiths halled some manure  & put it around corn wed peas & planting in corn field Jessey laid up

Fair warm damp day I rode to Ma,s pasture to look for sheep killing dog went to Ma,s & to Anna,s soled her a stack fodder $5.00 pin[e] chalf $3.00 I rode to Durriott & Winns shop had a shoe nailed on Telly graft went to Bro Lucks saw him about my wheels went to Smiths store bought hat & nutmegs etc pd 30 cts Mr Harris & boys came this evening he looked at my cow & steer wants to by got a leter from Harriet Ann. ploughing corn inthe meadow thining corn etc

Fair warm day smoky d I sent to Depot & went by Terrells & to Depot I bought 2 cart shears of L Sturn for $3.00 bought goods of Valentine to the amount of $8.79 saw Bro Hargrove & Seye at Depot. they have pup [put?] up a new Depot at Chesterfield Thomasia & children rode to Winstons shop I spoke for a plough $4.00 Wats we went to Bro Addams saw Mr Swann Mr & Cobbs Llewellyn shot Mr S dog Tate for killing sheep Charles Harris dined hear to day July Ann had a daughter this morning ploughing corn in the meadow weeding & thining etc sent to Depot

Fair foggy morning warm day I went to Ma,s & moved the well house Tate is at work on it. cutting wheat 2 cradles I have been shocking commenced on guanoed wheat John has 2 weeks vacation raked the land back of the kitchen workg  apple trees cutting wheat etc etc
