Fail cold morning I fixed my sub colter went to Bro Samls to carry a letter or two & bundle for Bro S. to carry to town - met Edmond with Carly bar swamp stop at Ma,s I put one bushel & over of sweet potatoes in the hot bed planted pepper cabbage seed etc in that bed Mrs Southworth & Susan came over this evening planted cymblains in garden sent Joh to have a screw cut by Robinsdon. raking burning brush cutting etc in new ground I put potatoes in hot bed |

Fair mild day commenced planting corn by the new ground subsoiling the land & using plaster & ashes & plaster in hill I planted a row at the end of legon road without plaster and the 18 th rough [row] this side with out subsoiling but plastered it went to fis[h] traps caught 2 fish Wm Samuel & JNohn Lewis came to look at my cows talks of trading got a letter fr4om Barbara Thomasia went to Mr Southworth, George for Turkey etc planting coern improved white corn subsoiling etc |
