Rain morning & evening a good rain this evening I put a spoke in Ma, gig wheel, faned out my oats 36 bushels. I caught sow & pigs in the pen put 8 inpen by ice house Llewellyn did not come home to night Mr Southward got part of his oats out of my barn fallowing by Canfields worming & suckering tobacco topings etc & faned oats etc 36 bu

Fair I went to Landora to look for my pigs Wiltcher, went to Ma,s & old place saw Wiltcher there fallowing by Dabs house 2 ploughs I put up a basket apples in shop Mr Southward got a lode oats to go to Depot fallowing worming tobacco & suckering toping etc

Rain a good one at Carmel not so much hear I went to Carmel Bro Coalmond preached he joined our division this evening he went to Providence am to give 80 cts for 15 bu rye fallowing worming tobacco shelled corn sent to mill for meal

Fair very warm day I went to Terrells store bought 1 bridle bit 2/3 d 5 boxes blacken [shoe polish] 25 cts one box matches 2 cts 3 nutmegs 6 cts went to Mrs Cobbs let her know about corn rode to Canfields fallowing near Canfields my hogs got in Ma,s field to day - fallowing pulling fodder shocking etc

Fair cool day I started to Lukes went to mill deep foarding saw Mr Martin at the mill Mrs Southward & family came over this evening Miss Kelly

Fair cool I went to Bro Samls met the Gouldins on the way to scool Bro Saml carryed Betty. Mr Noel at Bro Saml meeting goiong on at Lukes & Olivat Mr Lane had a chill to day Sam & John turky hunting to day -- worming tobacco suckering etc opened & shocked some fodder etc etc

Fair mild day I went to Carmel Bro Coalman preached but a few persons staid at the meeting of the sones or 10 persons at the meeting Mrs George Johnson was carried toher farthers [fathers] this evening a corpse Bro Valentine at meeting this evening I fixed Ella a table at Carmel meetng put up 2 stacks fo fodder cut some tops & shocked some fodder

I ate dinner with Bro Saml Sent Bob to John Ts for 25 bu rye got it at 80 cts tying up tops pulling fodder cutting tobacco hung it in house

Fair cool day I went to Oxford [Oxford Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, VA] to the baptizing Bro Coalman baptized his first 7 in all Mr Wortham Tom & John Chanler John Hargrove Octavia Anderson & 2 others wer baptized John Quarles joined the church to day Thomasia went to meeting with Ma, children stayed at Anna, Clarrence came to night a Miss Kelly Methodice talked to the church finished cutting tops and pulling fodder made tobacco scaffol raking by loar barn & commenced sowing rye

Fair mild I borrowed Ma,s cart & steers & Anna,s to carry my wheat to Depot faned out 90 bu sent 64 1/2 bushels to Depot one of Anna, steers broke off one of horns I bound it up & turned him in the pasture hitched up one of mine & carryed the wheat to lore barn swaped steers with Anna, faned out 90 1/2 bu of wheat sent 64 1/2 bu of wheat to Depot suckering tobacco etc

Fair cool day I started to go to Richmond went as far as Chesterfield my wheat did not go down I paid Sturn my account in full $2.64 cts Garland went to Chesterfield with trunk I bought a pair of lines 1/- pd. put up stack frame etc the Terrells went to scool this morning sowing rye put up the tobacco halling poles etc for stack frame sent to mill for meal etc.

Fair Frost it pinched the tobacco potatoes etc very cool morning with frost commenced stacking tops Mr Wiltcher spoke for 50 bu wheat at $1.30 cts a bu Mr F Smith came by to see about Tates account James McLaughlin came with Llewellyn halling up the fodder & stacking mkg frame etc cutting tobacco etc etc
