Rain a shower  I went to Carmel Bro Coalman preached I staid to the meeting of Sons E Wortham was elected W.P. J A conductor [Worthy Patriarch leads; Conductor directs meetings] etc Llewellyn & James went down home with Sally Lewis stacking tops finished the frame halled up tops hung up the tobacco etc

Fair cool day I went to Carmel Bro Coalman preached a good sermon I stoped at Ma,s & dined Miss Agness Thomasia & children went down to Ma,s. Charles Gouldin dined at Ma,s & the Swanns, John's family

Fair Mr Luck came for John Dickinsons wheat got 25 bu & 50 lbs Willshire came for 20 bu & 40 lbs I went down $1.25 cts Jessey went down in cart with trunk Boler went down saw Uncle Wm D Taylor at Taylorsville spoke for 20 bu wheat saw Edmond Sister Sophis & Lucy Carter in Richmond went with them home rode George Carters horse to Sister Sophia,s wheat 46 bu cutting tobacco faning wheat etc etc halling up fodder finished the top stack.

Fair large frost went to Richmond soled my wheat for $1.40 cts a bushel 122 bu/56 lbs bought Ma, a plough $9.00 bought moal board $3.00 for self Ma gave me $5.00 part pay I gave Wm Dandridge $25.00 to pay Sister Sophia for rent last year gave hime $16.30 cts to pay to colledge pd him & $3.07 cts to pay for goods hat [overc?] etc etc gave $1.12 1/2 cts for axe for Anna paid bill at Valentine $27.00 pd Thos Valentine this bill & account $10. pd Crane his account for leather $10 pd Allen Robt $19 for frock coat pd Chenry $12. cts for goods Llewellyn killed gound hog I pd Fleming $1.25 cts Bob sowing rye hangin tobacco etc

Fair I gave Dandridge $2.00 to buy Lattin books for Llewellyn I pd $1.25 cts to rid on cars gave 25cts for candy & cakes came up this mormning saw Uncle Wm at slash cottage promised me 1 bu white may wheat [winter wheat] Llewelllyn went to look for turkeys started them hanging tobacco rakg land for rye diging irish potatoes etc

Fair I went with Llewellyn turkey hunting in Hanover hird them this side of the river shot at ducks, halk, killed 2 birds sowed some rye etc etc we walked to Terrells store bought some buttons cab [cap] etc pd off my account left a cap at Terrells to sell the lightning rod men at Terrells came hear to night. sowing rye rakg with 2 rakes cutting down corn & halling up etc.

The Franklin rod men put u a rod for me charged $14.000 I rode to Ma,s carryed Emily a Hankerchief to him Ann & Wm went to Dr Gouldins J Stevens at Anna,s fixing well etc sowing rye rakg etc cutting down  & shucking corn halling etc halled lode wood etc

Rain a little shower soon this morning fair day put up the tobacco faned out 14 bu wheat & delivered it to Mr Wiltshere finished sowing rye nearly on fallowed land finished cutting the tobacco etc etc etc etc Miss Agness started home to day Jack Martin killed a geese to day gave Garland one dollar out up the tobacco sowing rye on rode by Canfields grubing rye field halling corn shucking etc.

Fair cool day I started to Bro Saml,s met with Uncle Wm,s cart coming for wheat I went to Mr Gouldins stoped at mill sent there to night for 1/2 doz chickens went to Ma,s sent Uncle Wm D Taylor 10 bu wheat at one dollar & thirty cts he sent me one bushel white may wheat it the granes mightly broken up most half. pd Fanny 75 cts for Gloster rye finished sowing rye on fallowed land commenced ploughing by ice house & shop for wheat halled a load rails to stack diging sweet potatoes grubing etc

Fair cold morning saw ice a very large frost Dr A came by this morning I went to Terrells store and bought 2 pair shoes pr gloves & brush laid out $3.87 1/2 came by G Southwards I went to Bro Saml, for 2 barouch boughs dined there green soled Dr 3 mules to day saw Hall wants to rent the land where he lives Joh Swann came to night I shot at a didaper twice [didapper, small grebe, diving water bird] ploughing for wheat halling corn halled a lode of wood etc etc etc

Fair frost warm most of day I sowed 1 1/2 bu wheat back of garden I bought a pair table cloths for $3.00 of an Irishmond working on rake frame etc ploughing tobacco land Llewellyn went to Bro Saml,s to night to have his coat cut out sowed 1 1/2 bu wheat & ploughing by shop finished diging sweet potatoes halled a load of toys packing them moved cow pen cutting down & halling up corn etc.

Tom came by on his way to old Mr Wm Gatewoods sale & Canfield & others sowed 1/2 bu wheat on the other side of ditch wet land Edmond came by etc lent Anna a yoke of my steers to hall wood - ploughing sowed 1/2 bu of wheat sent to Halls to get my part of top fodder & put it in barn etc halled a load wood halling up corn cutting down shucking etc etc etc etc

Rain showery thundered to day I gathered my Collins corn 45 years in all Wilson the Tanner came by with leather for mine 2 sides I bought 4 sides for $4.25 cts one $2.00 one $1.00 one 75cts one 50 cts. went to Ma,s with her leather Llewellyn did not come home last night nor tonight gave Bob 9 cts for goard to day sowing wheat 1 1/2 bushels ploughing cutting down & halling up corn shucking cleaning out water furrows etc etc etc etc

Fair cool day there is snow to night the ground had a crust on it saw ice 1/4 in thick this morning Clarence & Llewellyn went to scool & came back Anna & Betty came up to night to bring buggy to patch up etc etc Thomasia & I started to Anna,s got as far as Mr,s stuck came back with Anna, I killed a lamb shucking corn all day killed lamb etc etc

I paid Sturn my postage account & one dollar to pay for farmer I went to Geo McLaughlin home & dined there looked at his steers $50 for them cutting down & halling up corn etc etc shucking etc
