Fair foggy in morning I went to Providence this evening after the Dr he is in Richmond Lin was here he came up with me Mr Valentine at P. E came up to day Ma, & Sister Sarah came up this evening Gatewood came by this evening Ma hunting I killed squirl & crow etc weeding corn ree planting corn etc etc

Fair warm d I went to Ivy hill for straw berries went to Mr Gouldins spoke for some cotton I suped their this evening Mrs Swann there I brought over some cherries I cut 2 pigs cutting clover halled 3 loads weeding corn ploughing etc

Fair warm day I went to Ma,s to shear her sheep sheared 6 & G Southward got one from Ma. I sent to Mr Southwards for my stock of sheep got a ewe & lam sheared the ewe got about 1 lb wool Dr Anderson came to see one of the Babys ploughing corn new ground weeding sent for sheep made a bridge sollid one Dr A went by etc etc

Cdy mild day Thomasia & 3 of children went with me to St Lukes to temperance meeting. Mr White spoke we went to Lins and dined a good many persons dined there etc. Bro Saml people wer at meeting - sent Bob for Lucy to Martha she has a son ploughing corn on the swamp back of kitchen weeding etc weeding in new ground

Rainy evening I set out some watermellon ["patch" lined through] plants in patch went to Landora to see horse power gave Wiltcher some tobacco plants etc sent to Depot loss a good deel of molaces sent Bob to Depot for salt bacon & molaces last 1/2 of it halled a load hay weeding corn ploughing & ree planing

Fair set out tobacco plants reeplanted gave Mr Lane some Garland set out his etc I went to Ma,s & had some timber sent up to make gate etc I went to see Marton about mkgh sythe cradle I budded some wax cherries on tree in cotton patch I greased old sow reeplanted tobacco land sent 2 hands to help Mr Southward set out plants runing rake & cultivater by ice house weeding & thinning corn

Fair a little cool to day we went down to Anna & spent the day Miss Patsy Hill there I budded some trees at Ma,s for Louisa & Ma, I buded some forward peaches etc Anna gave Thom a chair I saw Hall & my cattle at old place finished rakg the land by kitchen weeding the corn sent to mill halled 2 loads clover

Fair very warm day - I went to Terrells store bought blade for $1.12 cts carryed them to the shop at Winstons to Thacker promised to finish them by Saturday Molly & Thomasia bleached my hat etc the girls came up to day stoped at Ma, etc Ella & Mary Eliza at Ma,s I commenced Ma,s gate etc etc ploughing corn thining weeding on meadow etc cut & halled load clover etc

E. gave hir medicine [Lucy Edmonia Redd] Mary sick most of the day started to cut wheat by Rock spring ploughing corn weeding corn second time commenced cutting corn etc or wheat choping the missing hills in tobacco

Foxwell of St Mary's County, Maryland] most of it Roburt & Nesson came to day to help about wheat etc Bartlet went to Providence to day. cutting wheat cut some mammouth etc

Castle & burried it about sun set Anna & folkes & Sister Sarah Ella and folks were at T. Castle we met Molly by Ma, the little child suffered a great deel several days Lanzy went for coffin Bro M Coobbs died & Joseps says oldest child cutting oats Lanzy went for sythe cradle w [?] garland cutting wheat at Ma,s etc
