Rain a little this morning commenced in the night the win was at the South soon it changed to the west & n.w. garland came this day to work Lanzy got back to day 1 ock I went to Carmel Bro Fox preached I pd Valentine $4.00 for Bro Broaddus & pd him $6.00 on his account Bro Luck sent hear to day [for money, phrase lined out] Bro Saml at meeting saw Bro Hall he came by I pd Bro Saml 75 cts [?] borrowed Halled 2 loads leaves striping tobacco in new house

Rain it commenced at sun set Roburt Winston came by to look at Agnes he went to Bro Saml,s & hired her carryed her home. Mr Hall & part of his family came down I went for my tobacco & corn at old place that Mr Taylor left for me George Grimes came to work commenced at 2 oclock worked 3 hours Cdy day damp etc etc Bob ploughing Lan halling sand from the river to the stack putting it in the mead Garland cutting next to Mama grubing etc 5 loads sand

Snowed last night 1 or 2 inches melted a good deel cdy day cold & windy I went to look for my hogs stoped at Ma,s etc Grimes went away to day I saw 3 wild turkeys to day I cut out a pr of shoes for Henry. Striping tobacco halled a load of wood etc.

Fair cool I went to look for my hogs I got a sow & 3 shotes left one in woods went to Davy Cobbs saw Martin he promised to make card body by Frydy evening I went again to look for my pig saw it I pd Luck $10. the bal - for steers striping tobacco cleaned out the ice house etc etc etc

Fair cool day I went to look for my pig and to Mr Buttlers after my coat paid Miss Eliza one dollar & 50 cts - Llewellyn went to Depot with Sister Sarah & Lucy Tate came for 4 planks 11 feet long 1 foot wide sent to mill for meal & planks cutting & halling wood striping tobacco I made a cart pin etc.

Fair a very pretty day ice 1 1/2 in thick I went to loar barn & faned out 49 bu wheat 15 red wheat the bal white Mr Smith came by to get a scollar Miss Moriah at Ma,s made a pen by kitchen for manure halled 3 or 4 loads dirt in it faning wheat halling wood cutting wood strip tobacco etc

Fair milder to day I started to get ice had to quit it faned out 15 bu red wheat & sent it down to Depot sent 48 1/2 bu I went to Hulett sale went to Bro Saml to dine Molly is poly with coal they got letters from boys I stoped at Ma, Bro Sam bought cart for Ma - 24 dollars sent 48 1/2 bu wheat to Depot malling rails burning brush etc

Cdy & cool day after morning packeed 461 1/2 lbs tobacco lugs [leaves around bottom of stalk] in box & 159 1/2 lbs good makg 621 lbs in all sent to Depot Mr Hall & I workg on stables stalls etc killed 8 turkeys this evening Harriet got back sent tobacco to Depot cutting & malling halling wood grubing burning bursh etc.

Fair cold day a few flakes snow last night I went down to Depot & to Richmond pd $1.25 cts at Depot. E. Burruss & A Dick went down to Grand Division carryed turkes down to Richmond went to Wm Dandridge,s Linnaeus Tom & Man Everett to Dandridge,s at night. Bro Saml came out from town Mr Noel in town cutting & halling from new ground by meadow grubing

Fair very cold day I sold my tobacco for $4.90 cts. got the wheat & tobacco out of the Depot late Tobacco weighted 620 lbs wheat 1400 saw cousin Sarah Pendleton & others in store Mr Gouldin got to town I pd for planks $1. & $1. for Republican Pd Mat Anderson $8.19 cts & Chiles $8.88 cts cutting, burning brush etc etc etc

bro Broadduss came from Richmond stoped at Depot I rode up on horse back stoped at Ma, pd Miss Heney $10.00 & 20 dollars from R Hill Dr Anderson went to Richmond to see John getting ice 2 1/2 in thick halling wood etc gave Bob & Lanzy a hat apiece
