Mr Martin came to work after breakfast we slabing the shed put u all the slabs, Sister Sarah Ann Emily & Lucy came last night from Dr G,s Molly went home yesterday Emily & Lucy walked up this evening halled 4 lodes leaves halled wood fallowing grubing etc cutting sent 4 hands to help Mr Taylor to shuck corn he finished to night put davy at work this evening ploughing 3 mules

Fair cool Mr Martin [riving?] slabs & putting them on etc made yoke I went to old place for lode slab timber I went to Mr Taylors and bought his corn for 16 cts a bl paid him $1.00 for Ma, I patched the corn house at old place I gave Mr Taylor my note halled 2 lodes leaves ploughing grubing rakg leaves put away the corn at old place halled 2 lodes shucks & fodder from old place

Cdy cool I halled 2 l leavs 3 logs to mill carry log chain broke & hurt my left hand Sister Sarah & Llewellyn got back to day brought up 11 planks 14 feet long 13 inwide - red a letter for Cousin Thomas Redd killed himself axidently halled 2 loads leaves & 3 logs to mill carryed a turn corn to mill shelling to night halling wood cutting grubing rakeing leaves etc etc

Rain Hail & Snow a little the ground is very wet I nailed up the planks on shed & fixed door for me in shed loft etc Mr Southward got back from Richmond this morning I cut out a pr shoes for Louisa to night [histed?] up some tobacco sent 2 bu wheat to  mill & corn by Lanzy, Bob makg his shoes, shucked a little corn

Fitzhugh, I bought a set of wagon hubs of Thacker for $2.00 Bob moved hog pen by the kitchen & pened in cow pen made a rack in cow pan 2 of leaves & cutting & halling wood & halled 2 loads leaves etc

Fair windy day I started to Carmel to the division saw 8 or 10 turkeys at Dr,s gate went by & John,s gut shot at one killed a bird went to Providence to dinner Dr pd me $53.89 cts the money that came by old Frank John sent a frock to Thomasia and a stick to Johny saw Miss Moriah at Ma, Lewis Hill came up Bob went to old Southwards to kill hogs this evening Bob & Lanzy went to mill for plank brought up 29 planks sent down 2 turns corn & some for chop grubing rakg leaves etc.

House H 118, 74, 94, 110, 99, 100, 106 lbs - went to Trevillions went to Geo Englands pd him $4.50 cts for leather bought some time ago, went to see Martin spoke to him to night a cart body for $4.00 Vink Cobb wants to hire Agnes for $10. & Tate. I pd Anna $10. for 2 bls flour pd Miss Henry $2.50 I cought an owl in steel trap set it to night cutting out hogs cutting & halling wood etc.

I stoped at Anna, & shaved Mr Hill Miss Mary gave me some matches I pd Fleming 75 cts for back lons [pd Wm Robinson 25 cts for ptg ploughs - phrase lined out]
