Fair cool morning I sowed plaster by the walnut cut sowed 4 or 5 bushels I rode to Mama, & Mr Taylors Burton sick got some nails from old place put up the gate post by the shop moved the gate & fencing etc sent to mill sowed plaster fencing halling rails put up a gate post etc |

Fair windy I sowed plaster by the spring & house Wm Swann came to day stayed a while I finished the arbour fencing on cross fence etc James McLaughlin came to night with Llewellyn sowed plaster halling rails from cross fence fencing etc. |

Fair cool day the ground has a crust on it I sowed plaster by the house i went to Carmel Bro Fox preached Hs case was lade over [carried over] John went down James & Llewellyn went to Martins & to Depot rode colts - I stayed to the meeting of the sons pd 75cts collected 44 cts of Wm Quarles put the hogs in pen at shop sowed plaster finished the fence fenced in plant bed made cow pen etc. |

Rainy day cool day I made some rings etc for hogs, turned out the hogs 13 in all. Bob mended my boots gave him my shoe that came from Dabneyhs John carryed leather tomake shoes for Thomasia to Dabneys he came by on his way to Hardymans, John went over --- Mr Gouldin sent for his lathe makg baskets etc etc |

Fr Cdy most of the day & cool we went to Ma, to spend the day met with Wm Swann we had a settlement to day I gave Sister Sarah my bond for $150. & He gave me his note for $150.31cts - sent Bob to Bro Lucks with a paper for Keeling Luck an agreement between Swann & him. went by Mr Harrises, to carry letters I snapped at a halk several times at Ma, he caught 4 chickens to day. Salley Lewid had a colt a female bay, the river very high Dr [wend?] down halled some straw halled 2 lodes to land by out gate next to Ma, on red land sent to mill for meal & plaster |

Fair very cold morning - the ground frozen I sowed plaster the lore [lower] field on the river on high hill 6 bags I went to Ma,s to look for a halk J. T. Andersons Smith came this morning to get work I made coop etc cutting down fines [vines?] etc spreading straw on the galls on red land halling straw to spred on the land rakg the corn land |

Rainy most of the day working on Ma,s wheel etc Llewellyn went to Dabneys for a pair shoes lost one pair shoes I went to Dabneys to look for the shoes, went to traps etc the river is nearly down halling out manure on tobacco lot... |

Fair the river is pass foarding we went to Mr Gouldins in the evening to spend the night saw Edmond at Mr G. I marked 6 hogs & altered them halling out manure for tobacco by spring etc. |

Rainy evening I spint the day at Bro Saml walked to Mr Tompkins. Bartlet & Bob worked in shop made shear to 3 horse plough a hammer noes [firing pin] etc makg shear to plough 2 hoes & putg irons & tribble [triple?] bar etc. |

Fair mild we came over home from Bro Saml, this morning the bors wer to to go Richmond Llewellyn went scool from Bro S, s 0 met Emily Talley at mill Ann & Louisa went down to the Dr. - Anna & Betty came up this evening - Anna pd me $20. We are eaven to day. Commenced planting (corn on Hawkins creek) commenced with husk corn - John came wants to work in shop halling out manure for corn commenced planting on creek - |

Fair mild Rained a good deel last night I made a flower box put a lilly in it planted some dora [durra] corn flass [flax?] etc made a stick for young Terrell I salted the sheep etc turned out my cattle Kitty came over to night to let me know she done her fence halling out manure from corn rakeing the new ground etc turned out the cattle & colts etc. |

Rain a hard shower in the evening I rode to Ma, pines to a halk nest has young ones I shot a black snake on the river we went to Providence Tom & Lewis was there at night Dr went to Mr James Matthews. halling out manure & planted corn in morning |

Rany day I made a hoe handle for Tom we came up home I left my Barouch down on the meadow the River is very full fuller than it has been for 18 years washed all the fence from rock spring to river off I went to mill the water runing around the mill house Charles G cross the river several times shelling corn etc. |

Rainy day cool N W win the river has fallen about 5 or 6 feet the bigest fresh [freshet] that I ever saw but one in 1834. June ) The water ran round all the tres at rock spring I skeaned the little cart axle made bands etc etc for it John working on cart body sent to mill for meal etc |

Cdy a few drops of rain I made a axle for horse cart commenced a light wood boat or canoe the boat went away in big freshet John working on cart body made iron for yoke halling out manure & raking new ground etc. |

Fair day, I finished Ma, wheel & pointed it put in 6 fellows & 4 spokes I am takeing Liverworth tea [liverwort] for coal table spoon full 3 times a day - Miss Terrell came with Harriet home to night Old Sam came by with Hawton went to Wiltchers scattering manure ploughing it in takeing etc halling out manure coaltering [coulter is knife or revolving disk on plow] farm pen etc Martha lode up etc planting corn on manured lot etc. |

Rain a little this morning it thunders & lightened a good deel to night looks very much like rain rose had her firs cow calf this morning 5 or 7 white spotted calf - I dug a ditch through the san [sand?] sent for old Lucy for July Ann she has a boy this evening. I moved my big steel trap this evening mended railing etc Raining hard to night finished ploughing the land on the river & planting it in corn ploughing by Mr Southwards fence near creek |
