Fair mild I went to Edge Hill bought 2 hogs for $16 1/2 Wm Swann came down & we had a settlement I bought his mule and 2 ploughs for $39.39 cts - paid him my shop account $20.57cts paid him $100. in full - Edmond came by & dined sent to the Depot for clover seed & got 4 bushels 2 bu timithy seed 2 pairs endirons shovel & tongs etc. Mama came over to day I paid Wm Swann $37 for 16 sheep one hundred dollars made us eaven -- finished the fence by Canfields cutting etc sent to Depot etc |

Fair most of the day Snowed a few flakes about 10 oclock I went toMrs Terrells & paid Wm Terrell four hundred dollars on my Bond saw Linkner Cobbs he agreed to pay Wm Terrell $2.25cts for me on Mam, account I gave Mr Noell Wm 2 deeds to carry to coart to record & bring back & account of Nock, Harts & Hayes to settle off etc etc Walker Terrell came to se me this evening I went to Edge Hill for my hogs & mule in the pasture Hill the hogs 3 sows they are quite large cutting wood at spring woods halling etc killed hogs etc. |

Fair a cold morning cut out 3 hogs & weighed them one weighed 208 lbs one 157. Bet weighed 132 lbs making 497 lbs in all I went to Edge Hill Wm changed a note of $100. for me gave my $68. The ballance to be paid in a few days - went to the scool house and gave Mr Noele $58 to pay for Hart & Hays for guano leather etc & to get a tun of plaster saw Mr Harris & Wm at mama, this evening. Moriah, child was very sick to day had fits - I paid Winston $1.00 shop account 75cts for Mama, - grubing burning brush etc cut out hogs & put lime in bags to sow in the morning |

Fair cool cdy day I carryed 3 turkey to Edge Hill to swap with Mrs Swann she killed hers & sent them down in my cart to the Depot. I settled with Wm Swann shop account $5.79cts. paid him $2.50 on the church book he paid me the change $10.21cts that he owed Miss Henry came over & brought a letter to Thomasia from Wm Dandridge & a bundle ploughing on the meadow grubing etc |

Fair a cold north win large frost went to Mr Noels scool house he paid me 5 dollars money lent went to Mr Gouldinss to see him about grinding plaster I carryed 3 turkeys to Edge Hill to put with those I bought of Ellen & swoped for saw Mr Martin at Edge Hill commenced sowing clover seed up at Edge Hill in wheat field halling logs tomill for Ma, for the garden plouging grubing etc. |

Fair cool morning frost- sowed clover seed at Edge Hill Aaron came to get me to hire him Wm came & I hired him for the gballance of the year for $95.00 I am to have a part of his tools such as I hav not of my one - I went by scol house & to T Castle to see the Dr I went to Edge Hill & weighed the iron int he shop 677 lbs in all 29 1/2 lbssteel 4 lbs of timber at E Hill. sent Mr Haround to get custom for the shop sowing clover seed at E Hill and ploughing in the meadow grubing halling wood etc |

Rainy evening cdy smokey day or foggy I went to Edge Hill to the shop Aaron working on my plough etc Warner to help him in the shop - Mr Hackett went to the Dr [pot?] for Apodeldock he got 5 bottles 62 1/2 cts paid Sturn my postage account 42 cts & paper 18cts cloth 12 1/2 cts I paid the above in full sent 2 barrells coal to E Hill Ploughing & grubing working on the garden at Ma halled garden pails from the mill |

Fair mild day I rode to Edge Hill Wm Swann & family moved to day saw Mr Martin he says he will come to work next week [to lined out] sent 2 cart to Depot for iron & coal carryed it to Edge Hill, put the iron in the barn Wm gave me keys to day - got a letter from Barbara & my papers from Depot Aaron working ona wing coalter [wing coulter chisel for tilling soil?] for me- Bob helping him to day - W gave me a $1.00 for Mr Gouldin I sent it over by Mr Hackett send Depot grubing working on the garden at Ma. |
