Fair a cool day I sceaned [skein is cast spindle on wood] Wm wagon axle trees & went to Canfields to get him to help put on tire killed 6 birds saw a turkey at ivy hill Black sow had pigs 3 in hog pen, put her in pasture Tom Grimes came by & Dr Flippur halled 2 loads manure on high hill to top dress the wheat cutting & halling wood, ploughing for corn on creek fallowing

Fair, very cold morning, the mill pon[d] froze across last night I went to Ivy hill look for the turkeys, a very large frost. Canfield came up to help Aaron put on a tire for Wm Swann I went to Carmel Bro Trice preached Bro Harris was there John Hackett & Linel Cobbs Henry Frith Clarence & Eugene came over with Llewellyn - got 3 pigs from Landora, that ran off killed one hog at Ma, cutting & halling wood shoemaking etc.

Fair a large frost John & I finished putting up the tops to stable hewed the rafters etc Allen brought my note that Williams had Mr Martin came will let him ha[ve] a horn of powder 18 3/4 cts Dr says he will come to work tus day Thomasia lode up Tom Grimes - & Llewellyn went hunting spoke to Mr Southward about his steer Fallowing cutting & halling wood at Mama, & Roburt helping aaron in the shop working for me

Fair very cold Edwin Fitzhugh came over to Ma, with Edmond Redd last night I started to Taylors ville to the sale got to Mama, came back went hunting with Edwin & Edmond we crossed the river on the ice & killed 3 birds fixed up the bell etc Mr G. came to have his horse shod cutting & halling wood at both places etc etc
