rain we went to T. Castle I borrowed Johns saddle & bridle Bro Harris preached at Carmel - appointed a protracted meeting the 4th Saturday in this month we came up from T Castle Bro Harris went to Mama, my cow died to day choked with an apple red Buffaloe thrashing at Anna, in the evening

Fair cdy morning I went to Mama, saw Bro Harris working on the road made a bridge by Canfields - Tom came up. Emily & Molly walked over to day stayed a few minutes Roburt cleaned & greased Mama, harness Edmond came to Mama, working on main road did not finish

Fair pleasant day I went to Bethany [Baptist chruch] to the Association Sister Sarah Ann & Molly went up & Edmond Taylor left them there Bro Trice preached the interductry sermon Bro Poindexter spoke after him 3 sows had pigs 20 in all commenced pulling fodder cut down the notty pine

Fair warm day we went to Bro Addams, for vinegar got 10 gallons for 20 cts a gallon saw Mr Chanler he took my census went to Mama,s came over with edmond to spend the night the girls came down from the association to Mama,s sent to Depot for bacon for Mama, & self pulling fodder etc.

Rain a hard shower thundered & lightened a good deel Edmond & Mr Chandler went away this morning Tom Lewis Butler & man came by to eat watermellons E C went to look at my wheat Mammouth Molly went over home this evening John came forher he dineed - hear carryed some watermellon,s home Anna & Emily & children came to spend the night pulling fodder etc etc Hackett went to association

Fair the girls went over to Mama, this morning Edmond went to meeting Lewis went over home this morning - Hackett went to Terrells for some scantling for a cart body getting up the side pieces for the cart I killed 2 squirls Edmond Taylor went to Milford Depot pulling fodder new ground byh Canfields shocking fodder [stacking a pile of grain sheaves together on end tocure & dry]

Rainy morning a heavty rain laid off a cart body for Mama, Hacketts - working on it Roburt went to Depot for bags carryed 3 puppies for Tom Chanler halled some wood for Mama & self - etc

Fair we went to St Lukes to meeting Dr Buckner preached we went to Bro Sams & dined met Bro Saml Mr Talley & the girls going to Bro Sam's this evening on their way home

Rain most of the day - I went to the Boling green spoke to Mr Hayes to get me the bones about Fredericksburg & to D - Ballard to get them about the green - spke for a turn of guano - 45 dollars from Knox & Co Dr Gouldin came up for the children - Hackett working on cart body Peter halling logs to mill for Mr Gouldin he went for carry logs

Fair Dr Gouldin carryed his children down home Edmond Mary Louisa & children came over & dined they went over to Mr Gouldins carryed 2 logs to mill halled a tree hear to make [log choper?] Louisa Terrell came to stay week or so halling logs tomill & pulling fodder etc etc

Fair Edmond Redd came by & dined I went to Swanns shop had a [ribet?] made - 3 drawn out I made or put a bar to the staves of my Barouch pulling fodder heeping etc finished pulling by Canfields halled a log or two to mill

Fair, cool day, I went to the River arfter ducks shot at one. We all went to new ground to gather peas, in the Barouch pulling fodder stacking  & put up 2 stacks at Mama,s

Rainy morning, fair evening, Thomasia & I went to Mr Gouldins, met with Bro Saml there. had my hair cut I cut Mr Gouldins & Bro Saml, we left Louisa Terrell to keep house faning wheat at Mama, & baging it, cutting tops about the house at Mama, sent Bob for my mule that strayed away

Fair cool I made 2 rolers for Sister Sarah to go over the windows in low house we went to new ground for dried peas sent 2 loads of wheat to Depot 60 bu for Mama - got my wheat coat from Valendine brought up my guano 1 tun Pate guano & a load plaster Fanny at Anna, had 2 children last night, a Miss Betty Hill from King william & Mr Trent came to Anna, sent wheat to Depot, puling fodder by my out gate, stacking etc.

Rain a little thundered a good deel put the hydranger in a new barrell dry potatoes at new garden forward kind. Hackett went to Terrells for plank for ox cart, sent for Dr A to see Livy we gave her colomel [mercury, used as purgative] halling fodder faning wheat diging potatoes etc etc etc etc

Fair warm Mama went to Mr Addams, for vinegar I went to Mr NOels scool house & to Winstons with Tom B - Saw N Luck & Sent to T Castle for costick for Livy - [caustic plaster, like mustard plaster to stimulate healing] sent 50 bushels wheat to Depot of mine, some for Mama, the Miss Hills came to Anna, Edmond Redd came for hops [seems odd for temperance member?] my wheat weighed 2762 lbs. mama, 4484 pulled fodder sent to Depot cutting tops etc etc

Fair a pretty day I went to Carmel to the protracted meeting about 10 persons there Bro Lowery & Fox red a chapter etc etc I bought R Gallens saddl for 21 dollars 50 cts. worked on the main road to day hackett went to Jerico soled Hackett my saddle for 7 dollars cutting tops stacking fodder put up 2 stacks at Mama, shocking fodder etc etc

Fair I carryed Louis & Luck to Carmel Louisa went to T C to go to Richmond with tom Monay I toled him to sell mly wheat & Mama, Bro Harris preached twice a great many persons at meeting I have a very soar throat & bad feeling about my head sent for the Dr to see the children he thinks ever one them have the scarlet fever some 8 or 10[?] are sick I had an [azure?] the Buffaloe cow Emma had a calf male floged several Negroes at Carmel for selling spirits Johny is very sick with scarlet fever

Fair a pretty day I spent the day on the bed mosely Dr Anderson came up to see the sick in the morning - Wm Swann came by in the evening from Carmel Bro Allen & Sumner preached at Carmel - cutting tops stacking fodder 2 stacks on my land

Fair warm day the sick ones seem to be wor4ce the most of them sent this for the Dr he did not get up to see Lucindy I rode out this evening Llewellyn went to scool Mr Noell sent him back he was at meeting yesterday. Cutting tops & finished by Mama, cutting by Canfields stackin on my land

Fair warm day Mr Noele came to see me Hackett went to look for corn at Carmel Mr Hargrove has corn for $3.00 a bl I still keep very poly a very bad coal & fever etc Dr Anderson came up to see the sick some 6 or 8 miners [minors] at Carmel & Henry martin among them cutting tops finished by Canfields brought 2 pigs to the hosue

Fair day thundered & lightened to night clouding up etc the win got around to north east blowing quite hard  & damp I rode out to turnip patch etc Finished cutting tops laying on the ground those that were cut to day pulling fodder etc

Fair very warm & windy I walked over to Mama, - Hackett & Llewellyn went to Carmel & to the Depot - for my new saddle I bought of Allen quilted saddle gave Hacket 10 dollars of Mama to pay for corn 3 barrells Miss Susan Hackett died of colick or something like it finished tying up tops & pulling fodder commenced bringing them up etc

Fair warm day lightened a good deel last night north Hackett went for corn at Mr Hargroves paid for Mama - got 2 1/2 bls for me carryed it to the mill I road down to the mill this evening sent to T.C. for medicine this morning there was a baptizing at Carmel to day I understood - Mama rode over this morning Emma cow had a calf male last Sunday morning stacking tops at Mama etc etc
