Rainy evening I went to Linnaeus & to Bro Saml he came over with me & dined & is going to spend the night - went to Mr Bartlett for my coat pd $1.50 cts to MIss Eliza Chiles left a summer wais coat to make got some salsefy [salsify - root vegetable aka oyster plant] seed of Mr Butler planted etc planted cotton hear & at Mama, I planted sweet potatoes & irish potatoes at new garden halled out manure planted beans butter beans |

Rainy most of the day very cool weather Hacke[tt] went to Carmel
Martin came from Richmond & spoke a very few persons there - there was a
meetintg appointed next Monday week at Carmel Fatty, dog bit one of my hogs
very badly. makeing a cow pen on my land in the field next to Canfields
halling 2 oats sent tomill put up Robin steer to day for getting in my wheat
patch I paid Kemp Evans 50cts in part for getting slabs - 500 at 25cts he
owed me for wheat 58cts still owe him a ballance 17cts Dr Anderson came back

Fair a large cool day Roburt Hackett came hear to day we started to Cty Line & turned back meeting disapointed painted the house & it is wet - we went to T Castle the Dr gave me some seed that came from Washington improved white corn Lucern gras seed [alfalfa] & book |

Fair mild I planted a few hills cotton seed in the garden 2 rows lucerne seed in myh garden halled a load of Sams from the mill & a load of manure sowed a few perennial rye grass seed - all from U.S. Patent Office planted my black peas by Goins house. weeding corn Edmond came here this morning for owl commenced weeding corn by Marick, house ploughing sent to Depot for things iron hoes plates etc etc etc |

Fair cool day we went to Mrs Terrells & spent the day Molly went with us I bought 1 gallon of vinegar of Wm Terrell pd 25cts for it. got my sheep of Mr Gouldin skered [scared] him & his horse ran away got loose from buggy sent mare to shop had a shoe nailed on weeding corn patching the holes in fence at the mill etc. |

Fair Dr Anderson came by & paid me 396 dollars the Jerico moneyh I went to John Hacketts & paid him 160 dollars one bond for a male the other money lent (75 each bond went to Mama Thomasia worked a piece cloth Bro Saml came for Molly Mrs John Swann at Mama (Molly came over, Edmund went home) I swung up Mama bee hive to night wed the corn at new ground on the road weeding by Canfields |
