Cdy day I went to Carmel Bro Harris preached I brought a chane home from Mr Turned paid $4.00 to Swann for Bro Harris they took a subscription for a secston [sexton] house J. Hackett gave the land to the church I souled a quarter of beef to R to Dwannat 5 cts & sent it to him weighted 75 lbs - $3.70 Bro Sam Redd engaged a quarter & the same weighing 72 lbs $3.60 We went to T. Castle to spend the night went to Jerico Old Man Noel joined the division to night got a plough from shop pointed & straped ploughing cutting halling etc. |

Fair cool there is a little snow about in places I commenced working on well wheal Bob went to Canfields to help put on my cart tire he put it on Martin came & got a piece of timber to make my cart axle wants to borrow the cart John Dickinson borrowed my gun last night & sent it home this morning - I went to the depot to send a bundle to Richmond spoke for bags etc the poast office is chainged to E. Burruss I patched my boat this morning fallowing grubing halled a load straw etc etc |

Fair cold & wintry Martin came for my cart & steers I went up & stained an axle for horse cart Aron lengthen the bottom seames & made a few nails - sent for cart etc I killed 1 B Hackett carrying my boat & put it in the River He & Purkins got a ducking the Huntsmen started a fox lost him by T. Castle Louisa Terrell came to night to spend a day or two - ploughing grubing rakeing leaves etc etc |

Rainy day Wm Samuel went to Mama, after breakfast I cut out 3 pairs of shoes shoes [word lined through] Ma Va?? & Sis I took my clock to pieces and cleaned it & set it to work - ploughing a little faned about 20 bushels wheat to send to mill medertarranean. |

Fair had a snow last night the most of it melted a very cold windy
day. I went to John Hacketts & had a swap with him for a buffalo steer
swaped back am to get $3.00 to boot. I killed 4 birds at 1 shoot Wm Talley

Fair very cold night last cold day I finished the well wheal & charged 50cts for it I went to M Lucks to see some corn belonging Tom & Old Man engaged it for $2.25cts a barrell Anna, Betty & Louisa, are hear Mr Noel broke up his scool to day sent 24 bushels of wheat to mill sent the Buffaloe cow to Dr Andersons to winter cutting & halling wood cutting & halling wood burning brush etc etc |

Snowy evening Hackett & I went to Bro Sams for my coalt brought him over & my coalt from mama,s - Louisa Terrell is quite sick to day confined to her bed & I gathered all the corn in the new garden mama & Anna killed all there hogs sent tomill for meal 1/2 bl cutting on the stream in the pasture halling leaves Bob went to help mama, hands to kill her hogs halleed a load or 2 of wood |

I went hunting & to Land Dora [Landora, parcel of land his father owned] to see about a cow went with Thad this evening - I killed 1 bird 3 or 4 hairs shot a turkey started 3 caught a hair this morning with dogs. Cdy day I went after the turkeys saw 2 shoped 2 caps at one Hackett shot at one he & I went to Carmel to the turnout had 3 speaches one from Bro Smith Tom 1 from Bro Wood & the other from Linnaeus - very few persons on account of the bad weather the speakers gave out coming from Richmond on account of the bad day & an owl came last night & killed a ginney [guinea] set a trap for him cutting & halling wood sent to mill for bl flour brought horse cart home |

Rainy a very heavy rain it commenced last night & rained till 10 or 12 oclock cool & windy evening I went to W Swanns & turned a horn bottum went to see Mr Wiltcher to by a cow.
