Fair cold morning windy day I sent Jeff to Depot with 12 bushels potatoes & I got some cabbage seed of mama & Anna I vaxinated Tom Swann & Lucy Robinson brought up the plaster 1/2 tun. grubing fallowing burning brush etc

Snowy day a very deep snow cold day rain in the night. I burnt a plant bed in the garden & sowed one half of it put little buffaloe in barn shelter & patched up the side with planks & brush etc

Fair a hard crust on the snow rained last night – I went to L Allens to the sale bought a axe butter printer & a stack of straw for $3.50 cts for the hole – cutting & haling wood halled a load to Anna

Clear cold morning I went to Carmel about 14 persons received Brister [family name?] in the church halling wood for Anna cut & halled 2 loads wod & one yesterday $1.00. halled wood cutting etc patching the new house under eves.

Fair cold & windy day I went to Carmel Bro Harris preached Mr Gouldin spent the evening hear Maria moved to the new house to day & all of her goods etc. . House

Fair very cold morning mild evening snow melted a good deel to day - - hall 5 loads straw from Bro Allens Mamas cart halled one load -

Fair mild day I commenced sowing clover seed sowed nearly 1/2 bushel sent plaster to T Castle to grind halled a load or 2 of wood cutting burning brush grubing etc etc at new garden

Fair mild windy day halled 2 loads straw to stack – Williams came to day & plastered the room I pd him 4 $ 50 cts for work done pd in full.   L Allen came to day I pd him for old house seven dollars & fifty cts – being in full etc cutting & malling rails – grubing by garden etc Tom came up to day

Rain day – I sowed some clover seed shelling corn Bob making fish trap etc & Peter 1/2 soled my shoes to day

Fair I baited a fishing hold Mr Vass came hear to day halling rails fencing etc malling rails this evening – by garden. got a letter from Frank. . .

Fair cold morning I finished sowing clover seed sowed 1 bushel by my barn I went to T Castle to carry note to the Dr for H Ann Anderson halled some dirt in Mariahs old house for a floar sent to mill etc malling rails by new garden fencing I planted 3 pick corn [pecan?] nuts in new garden

Fair cool day we walked over to Mamas in the evening William Talley Charles Gouldin -& Thad came & stayed till bed time

Fair a very cold day Mama getting ice to day – mild snow I went to W Cobbs came by N Lucks spoke for 1/2 bu corn malling rails halling around garden fence grubing etc commenced coaltering I pd Peter 25 cts – for mending shoes & boots

Cdy most of the day moderate weather finished coaltering the garden fencing it in etc ploughed a square in the garden & commenced – planting potatoes planted 2 rows halled 3 loads manure finished sowing plant bed etc shelling corn etc etc gardening.

Rainy day sowed a few oats sent to mill halled a load of manure to garden put it on drills for potatoes – sawing & splitting out – spokes etc Bob made fish trap for me

Cdy Mr Terrell came for his hogs halled a load wood sowing oats 3 bushels & rakeed them over halling manure to the garden finished putting it in the drills for potatoes. halled 3 loads rich durt to cover sweet potatoes put 1 bu in hot bed throwing up manure at stack ploughing for apple trees etc Mrs Agnes Harris died this evening -

Fair warm day we went to Mr Harrises – to Mrs Harris, funeral – sowing oats for Anna sowed 5 1/2 bushels ploughing them in with 2 ploughs. - - set out a few apple trees throwing up manure planted 1/2 bu potatoes 2 rows & 1/2 with 14 potatoes planted some potatoe seed -

Fair warm finished the Luck corn & the field by Canfields halled 2 loads manure to the garden planted corn for rosting years Bob ploughed Anna, garden to day commenced before dinner finished to night. shelling corn Dr Gouldin & Louisa came up to Mama
