1st Sat

Cdy most of the day I went to Carmel with Mama I went to T Castle Tom carryed the children thining corn by Canfields ploughing by Cobbs etc Thomasia Went to Lins to set up with child

2nd Sun

Fair very warm day we went to Carmel Bro Harris preached text is there any balm in Giliard etc [Jeremiah 8: 22] etc came home in the evening -

Shower of rain cdy most of the day I went work on the shop at Anna – budded some trees ploughing corn thining etc

4th Tus

Fair I went to Anna, taken sick took blue mass to night finished ploughing by Cobbs this evening ploughing by Canfields weeding potatoes sweet Jeff went to T Castle for phisick etc

Fair I took a dose salts etc went to Lucks to see my oats cutting oats frunt of the house ploughing etc

6th Th

Rainy evening cutting oats finished this lot halled them up put them up in the barn halling rails to fence in my corn field by cow pen etc ploughing corn fencing etc cutting hay on the swamp.

7th Fr

Rainy day showery fine rain finished the fence around the corn field moved the cow pen ploughing corn thining peas etc set out the sweet potatoes pines John Dickinson sent over some wheat to be fined I put my dogs in wheat field -

8th Sat

Rainy day very heavy rain – I rubed out 2 quarts of my Mammoth wheat to day making 3 1/2 quarts in all got out - - - ploughing till breakfast thining corn etc got 3 pair of pants from Richmond to night.

9th Sun

Fair we went to Mama, this evening I gave Uncle Anderson 1 head wheat -

Fair working at Anna, to day plaining plank floaring – cutting oats at Lucks ploughing corn brakeing out balks

Rain this evening a good one putting in glass etc cutting oats at Lucks thining corn ploughing etc etc

Cdy most of the day working on house I dined at Anna, finished cutting oats at Lucks - & thinking corn by Cobbs – ploughing etc etc

Rain a fine shower this evening working on house at Anna, cutting oats ploughing etc etc

Fair warm day working on house finished plaining planks for the floars – ploughed cow pen ploughing corn choping etc etc

Rain a fine shower – I worked my watermellons over commenced a plain stock making it out of locus finished ploughing the corn ploughing trees in nurcery weeding etc etc

Fair rather cool to day we went to T Castle went to Carmel Bro Harris preached Bro Kingsford spoke on temperance etc

Fair Thomasia and I went to Carmel to the ordination of Bro Fox Bro Taylor preached Bro Kingsford & Harris spoke & prayed etc finished halling up my oats 1 load from Bro N. Lucks 1/2 load from Canfields triming out the yard etc etc

Fair working watermellon vines ploughing cotton greens etc Wm Swanns mashine got hear about 12 ock we commenced thrashing wheat this evening sent to T Castle for hands & failed getting them Winston dined hear to day

Fair warm getting out – wheat Canfield helped from breakfast till dinner & Zestus from breakfast till night 4 or 5 hogs from T Castle Mr Vass came this evening – William Swann dined hear

Fair finished getting out my wheat about 11 ock – had 2 hands from W Swanns faning out this evening about 18 or 19 bu

Fair warm faning out wheat faned 63 bushels put up chaf etc sent Bob & Jeff to Canfields this evening to help about his wheat

Rain a shower Tom & Miss H Anderson came by to day Louisa Terrell came to night faning out wheat to day faned out about 100 bu in all

Fair a good rain last night we went to Cty Line Bro – Fox preached Miss Harriet went to Mrs Coalmans -

Fair Rainy last night I went to Bro Sams & to Bever Dam depot – for bags got 50 of Bro Sam patched 23 bags I faned out 106 bushels wheat & put it in bags -

Fair very warm day I borrowed Mama, cart & team to hall – my wheat to the turn out at Huletts made 2 loads with 3 carts halled 106 bushels weeding cotton & potatoes

Fair Rainy evening Thomasia & I borrowed Linnaeus, buggy & went to Richmond or to Sister Sophia spent the night ploughing cotton patches peas etc etc weeding etc

Rain we went to Richmond shower in the evening staid all night with William Dandridge working patches grubing etc

Rain evening spent the night at Mr Rennys – grubing & weeding the greens etc I bought a hose of E C Taylor for 60 $ pd 30 $

Rainy evening & very heavy rain we stoped at Verdon & spent the night at Verdon - - grubing etc Dr Anderson got 2 mules from Richmond at $220 dollars for the two

Rain in the morning we came by T Castle & home

Fair warm put my horses to work ploughing with her grubing etc I ground the cutting knives
