Rain last night. Fair day cool day I vaccinated 8 or 10 at Mama, to day went to Allens for bricks brought 2 car loads – halling wood sent to mill for flower cotton seed etc grubing got a coat from Richmond sack for 5 dollars Pd Sister Sarah $30 dollars 20 to day Pd Englan 5$ for covering a bellows. - -

Fair mild weather cutting wood for Anna halling etc working on hen house - - cutting wood for Anna halled 5 loads sent to S Gouldins for some lime 1 foot in the barrell barrell 15 inches aX [across] the top. Nelson E Terells man died with small pox yesterday - - - - -

Fair warm or mild day Mr Martin & I finished the hen house at Mariahs house fixing the bellows in the shop Dr Anderson came to see Joh – I vaxinated Tom Swann Jeff Pleasant Nelson – Martha etc fallowing for oats by Canfields cutting & halling wood grubing etc etc finished ploughing for corn in my field all to manure land

Rain Thundered & Lightened. this evening working on black smith shop put up the bellow etc working on table – halled a load rails to barn made a pen beeting out oats etc grubing cutting etc etc

Fair cold windy day I went to Carmel Bro Harris preached Text Matthew 26 ct 41st verse Pd 45 cts toward the expences of church lent Bro Fleming Cobbs 50 cts. cutting wood halling grubing sent to mill etc etc

Fair cold day I went to Bro Allens to take down the old house – Mr martin & I took off the top halled away all the shingles made 4 loads – with two carts - - - - -

Fair cool day Martin & I went to Allens finished the house brought 6 loads – packing up the timber under the shed. Bet Hog took boar Mr Martin bought a horse for 25$ credit 6 months

Fair mild weather Mr Martin & boys getting out nails Tate dined hear to day growned some paint & painted sash & frame – sent the Drs waggon home cutting wood halled 1 load wood straw etc

Snow commenced last night fell about 2 or 3 inches deep – cold day. Bob made a basket comenced a hamper. beeting out oats put them in the barn sent to mill for meal etc

Fair mild weather Thomasia & I went to Bro Samls got 7 1/2 lbs cheese of him gave $1.00. 5 cts. or am to give came by Linnaeus - - - - malling rails grubing & halling rails wood etc Southard bilding a house for Mrs Jones on Linnaeuss land.

Rain evening commenced about 12 ock to day - - Linnaeus came by my barn went to Mama, has a slut housed at his house - - - cutting rail timber & halling rails by Cobbs grubing & beeting out oats etc – etc etc

Cdy day lent Mr Martin my horse cart & mule to hall corn I got 2 1/2 bls of him at 2 dollars & 25 cts pr bl cutting & malling rails fencing by Cobbs etc

Fair mild day Bob – laid up to day coal etc etc I went to N Lucks looked at his corn halled a load of straw to stack fencing by L Cobbs

Rain most of the day Bob ploughed a squire in Anna, garden ploughing for oats etc I grown some paint etc halling rails fencing etc finished beeting out oats Bob made a hamper

Rain a little I went to Carmel Bro Anderson & Lowery red a chapter & commented a little on it – Frogs hallowing to day

Fair warm day I went to Bro Sams to carry a bundle for Miss H Anderson gave Bro Sam 10$ to by a bushel of clover seed & 1/2 tun plaster – Williams finished the – chimney to day all to pointing Bob helping about the chimney cutting & halling wood one load & a load of san - - grubing sent Winston's foot adds home by Pleasant.

Rainy day I made a coffin for Mama to put Aggy in she died last night Martin came for plains – faned out my oats 28 1/2 bushels – halled a load of straw etc

Fair mild weather I & Bob under pined the new house to day I road to the mill this evening. cutting & halling wood grubing malling rails etc etc

Rain & Snow Snow fel about 1 inch deep - - - Bob made a hamper faned out my buck wheat made 2 bushels from 1 1/2 sowed halling wood etc etc

Snowed a little cdy day & cool I went to Bro Allens for a load of bricks I soled Mr Gouldin a cow cherry for 4 $ 6 months, credit I set 3 stick traps for halks cutting & malling rails grubing etc etc

Fair a cool day I went to Cty Line to meeting Bro Phillips preached Text Hebrews 4th ct 25th verse Dr Anderson came by Tom dined & spent the evening.

Fair cool morning I went to Allens for 6 hogs & a cow I went to Chesterfield Depot for 50 bags. ploughing. covered a plant bed in garden, grubing etc etc

Fair cool day windy – Williams finished the chimney & dun up the – fire – place in the big room Cobbs sow took boar sent 50 bushels of potatoes to depot brought 1/2 tun plater back grubing I put a spoke in cart wheal & patched body – picking over potatoes etc etc etc
