How to make corn

Prepair your ground well,  lay of your rows 4 ½ feet apart. Plant your corn 2 ½ apart. As soon as it is large enough plough as close to it as possible, throwing the dirt from it. Let the same or another plough throw the dirt back again immediately. & weed run a cultivator each side & thin out to one stalks in a hill, as soon as you get over the first time plough again throwing the dirt to the corn 2 furrows at a time finishing it [ly?] & run your cultivaters 3 or 4 times in a row & your work is compleet for the season do not forget to manure all of your thin lan either in the hill or broadcast. Manure liberally etc etc commence planting if the weather is good by the 20th of March & compleat your work by the 1st of May – work it well from the start etc
