Fair cold & windy I went to Richmond & spent the day bought sugar 50 lbs 10 lbs molasses etc stayed at W Dandridge – halling wood grubing the corn field for oats caught fish

Fair cool I came up from Richmond, Tom stayed with Thomasia fallowing grubing & setting out beets carrots & turnips in the new garden – the old black sheep died this evening

Cdy a shower of rain this evening halling manure from the kitchen to manure my apple trees set out 33 this evening & one dozen beets fallowing for oats -

Rain this morning & all night nearly finished faning out my oats faned out 35 bushels & a 1/2 halled a load of wood I made 2 frames for fish traps caught 3 or 4 miners –

Fair sent Bob to Depot for shirts sugar etc. . . bought a pair of traces for 75 cts pd bob 25 for trap malling halling rails wood fencing etc. .

6th Sat

Fair cool we went to T. Castle in the evening ploughing halling rails etc fencing etc etc. .

Fair We spent the day at T. Castle – Bro Harris preached – Mollys funeral sermon spent the night there -

Rain commenced last night cdy day. I came up home & sent Mama, carriage for Thomasia. . cutting & malling fencing halling rails. . etc. . ewe had a lamb . . . -

Rainy day shelling corn sent to mill brought up 3 single ploughs & a rake – Robert made a fish trap & carryed the boat & trap to the river put them in etc caught 3 fish malling rails halled 1 load wood. ewe had a lamb -

Rainy morning fair evening malling rails halling rails fencing etc I pd Listern Cobbs 62 1/2 cts for 1 bushel of rye I got last fall - - - -

Snowy day the ground is covered with snow Mama Anna Miss Mary A Temple & Sister S dined hear with Miss Lord & children. halling rails malling rails etc fencing I have a sick ewe gave her a dose of lard this morning - -

Snowy evening I went to mill carryed harnes to have irons shifted went to Mr Hewletts saw puppies gave him bet – I went to Linnaeus & Bro Sam, & dined there – cutting & halling wood

Snowed a little this morning cdy day & cool halling & cutting wood bled the sick sheep to night shot a robin caught some fish

Snowy morning commenced in the night fair evening – spent the day at home to day Thad came over to night

Fair cool fencing malling rails halling old rails – a load of straw etc. . . carryed a new trap to the river & put it in caught 1 or 2 fish

A few flakes of snow this evening cold evening I went by T. Castle & to E. C. Taylors Tom came up to stay all night I came home lost a sheep malling rails fencing halling rails etc etc

Fair mild commenced sowing oats sowed 6 bushels rakeing them in commenced by the rye field halled 3 loads straw fencing caught 15 fish shelling corn I made a new rake to day

Fair mild halling manure to the garden halled 6 loads ploughed for potatoes & peas planted 1 row set out some beets putting manure in potatoe drills sent rake corn etc to mill sowing oats 2 bushels rakeing them in – caught 17 fish

Fair warm day ploughing in the new garden planted potatoes 1 bushel & a peck planted a row of onions Nancy dined hear to day sent to mill for chop & a rake brought up some scantling or rafters sowing oats 6 bushels finished to the bridge rakeing with 2 rakes caught 7 fish

Rainy evening I went to Carmel Bro Harris preached 86th Psalm 5 verse I subscribed $5.00 for  the Irish

Rain a little this morning fair the balance of the day I caught about 40 fish to day halling rails fencing by the stack halling manure to the garden & to nursery, & ploughed it – malling rails etc set out 4 plum trees some Bar grass Sent Wm Noell 7 bushels of potatoes at $1.12 1/2 cts per bu -

Rain shower finished sowing oats by Dabs house & commenced on the fallow ground below the out gate sowed 3 bushels oats – halling manure to the nursery putting it in the drills planted 7 rows of peaches & along the mill road – Bro Sam & Moncure came by 2 first rows of peaches are the best kind ripest.

Fair a hard rain last night halling manure to the nursery sowing oats this evening 2 bu rakeing them in etc etc etc I planted some peach–stones on the mill road and finished planting planted the balance of the nursery in apple seed & a row of pepper

Fair warm sowing oats – 7 bushels ploughing them in by the ice pond Thad helping to plough - - fencing from the gate to Anna, fence – diging up manure at the stack working in the garden sowed a row carriots & a row of peas.

Fair I went to Cty Line to meeting Bro Cole preached text 23rd ct of numbers latter part of the 10th verse Bro Phillips spoke Miss B Hill came by and spent the evening

Fair mils finished rakeing the oats by the ice pond sowing oats & ploughing them in sowed 6 bu Dab is ploughing in oats. halled 2 or 3 loads manure to the garden sowed a row of salsify seed lent John Dickinson a barrow to day

Fair mild finished sowing the ruffle oats sowed 4 1/2 bu sowed 37 bu & a 1/2 the ruffle – planted a row of salsify seed & a row snaps & corn etc etc planted some tomatoe seed the large kind halling manure. . Anna & family came over to spend the night.

Fair. Rain last night – I went to Mr Keans for 20 bushels of oats at 40 cts went by Mr Swann's Emery, he died last night about 1 ock -) put a tooth in rake halling rails 2 loads rakeing over the oat land etc. . . . . throwing up manure Martha is laid up to day -
