Fair mild Miss H Anderson came over from Bro Sams. halled a load of wood fallowing for oats buck wheat etc Jack laid up -

2nd Tus

Fair mild cool morning halled a load of wood grubing ploughing fallowing – sent to mill for meal Tom spent the day hear

3rd W

Rain & very windy day cleared off in the evening - & turned cold blew down my fences & Anna, - beeting out oats halled a load fodder. top stack blew down at one end fencing etc a locus tree blew down in the yard

Clear and cold. cutting – wood halled a load of fodder & wood. shot a halk at stack

5th Fr

Fair milder to day, put up my fence from the out gate to the shop and around the pasture, halled a load for chop & straw & a load of wood made a row of nest in the hen house

6th Sat

Fair mild cold morning I carried Miss H Anderson to the Depot she went to Richmond halling straw wood etc triming around the fence etc I came by T. Castle for a work stan

7th Sun

Commenced raining to night Fair day I went to Carmel Bro Fox preached – coal mornings & warm days -

Cdy cool I went to the Bowling Green collected Franks hire $124.31 cts Paid Winston 10$ part of his shop account – fallowing choping bushes around the fence I saw a great many ducks

Fair Hackett & I went to Old W, pond after ducks shot at them etc fallowing, choping bushes etc shelling corn to night A ewe has a lamb to day making 2 in all as yet

Fair sent to mill ["cho" lined through] malling rails triming around the fence etc sent corn for chop to the mill. fixed rust in hen house

Cdy cool triming around the fence & burning brush etc malling rails wood etc

Fair cool halling wood rails on the main road burning brush cutting s=down trees at the end of the field. got 2 wash tins pepper etc from Richmond

Plant bed

Fair mild cool morning halling rails on the road burning brush triming around the fence made a plant bed on the garden covered it with brush etc [H ? S. Redd]

Fair mild cold morning I went to Carmel Bro Swann red a chapter & prayed - - - - Yound Gillon died in Richmond & was brought on the carts to day - - - -

Fair mild. I burnt a plant bed in the new garden & choped it over to day fallowing by Canfields -

Cdy Rain a few drops – halled the manure made from old Peter to the plant bed in the garden & sowed it with cabbage seed & lettuce seed fencing commenced by the notty pine fallowing young ewe had a lam & he died

Cdy very warm day fencing ploughing etc Mama gave me 2 [?] brought up chop from mill

Rainy day finished covering the plant bed in the garden commenced fencing & malling rails beeting out oats etc.

Cdy day fencing halled a load of fodder halling rails woods malling rails shelling corn to night

Cdy Raining to night halled a load of straw down sent to mill for cotton meal etc halling rails wood etc fencing ploughing & finished the field by Canfields I went to Cobbs from home at Casey) Dr Gouldin came up with Ja T Redd this evening

Rainy fine rain I spent the day at home - - I shot twice at a dog – supposed to be mad – Sister Sarah came over this evening [Seller?] caught a hair

Rain Snow a few flakes beeting out oats fencing malling rails etc in the evening

23rd Tus

Fair cold malling rails halling etc I cut some pines for rails fencing raced a hair to day

24th W

Fair cold morning I went to T Castle in the morning to pay for pork – halling rails fencing etc finished brakeing out borks [balks?] commenced fallowing on the main road

25th Th

Fair mild fencing halling rails malling etc I put my fish trap in the river this evening bated the hold I saw Mr Kean I ingaged 2 bu oats

26th Fr

Cdy day I bated my fishing hold caught 2 fish - - fallowing on the road halling rails wood etc fencing sent 3 ploughs & a rake to the shop shelling corn – dug 32 holes for apple trees in my orchard - -

27th Sat

Rain most of the day – finished beeting out oats this evening sent Bob to Mrs Lucks to see [Keulen?] - - Sister Sarah came over – to help about pants . . .

28th Sun
Richmond

A few flakes of snow I went dow to the Dpt & to Richmond in the cars pd $2.37 1/2 cts. went to W Dandridge, and to Sister Sophia – in the evening
