Snow hail & Rain a great Sleet – spent the day at or in the house . . . the snow begins to brake up

Snowed all day & night very cold & windy a north wind Snow banked up about 3 of 4 feet deep the most disegreble day had halled a load of straw from the barn to feed the cows at the stack. – I made & mended 2 back leans.

Fair rather milder. n wind I went to W Swanns to look for straw I bought 2 loads for 2 dollars halling straw & hay wood etc

Fair very clear after the morning We dined at Anna, to day – getting ice finished halled with my 2 carts -

Fair mild a south wind the snow is going away slowly – Sent 3 cows to T. Castle to stay March out – Anna. Ann & Emily Talley & Mama, family dined hear to day & Louisa Gouldin halling wood etc

Fair warm the snow is melting a good deel – I went to W Swann's for 2 loads of straw of Soiuthard pd him 2 $ - bought a cust plough of W Swann etc cutting rail timber malling cutting poles for a grainery -

Fair a frost, warm day we came up home

Fair mild weather we dined at Mama, , to day with Mary S Taylor & others – malling rails choping around the fence etc I made a single tree commenced stocking a plough I went to the mill with William S Talley

Fair mild ploughing for oats or fallowing burning brush etc I broke the ice pond sent a wheal to the mill to have a box put in etc sent for the cotton & chop. looking for Thad on the river

Fair mild Jack had 2 of his fingers cut of by the cutting box wheels sent for Linnaeus & Dr Gouldin cut them of ploughing fallowing & ploughing in the new ground burning brush etc halling out wood & logs out of the new ground

Cdy a part of the day morning & evening very warm day sowing oats comenced by the grave yard sowed 5 1/2 bushels oats planted beet seed sowed plant bed set out unions etc in the garden corn etc etc - -

Fair very warm & smokey rakeing sowed 2 bushels of oats sent to the mill for chop & meal, caught a carp. made a arbour in front of the house

Fair windy cool E Swann came to breakfast got 1 bu potatoes pd 50 cts still ows 25 cts. Garrett Hackett had 3 bu by the bog Mr Coalman had 2 bu sowing oats 4 1/2 bushels rakeing in etc finished the house field. – nailed slats on the arbour

Fair a cool wind. I spent the day at home till evening went to Anna, & Mama, Edmond T Redd John & Sam at Mama,

Cdy a shower this evening I souled 1/2 bu potatoes to Mr Jones pd 25 cts owe 12 1/2 cts. Thos went to Mrs Swanns S day sowing oats on the fallow land on the road – sowed 3 1/2 bushels oats to day grubing etc Llewellyn went to scool

Rain. fine rain, till night. it rains faster set out some onions & snaps seed made a border in front of the house Sowing oats sowed 5 bushels

Rainy evening showery thundered & lightened – A heavy rain last night sent Bob to T. Castle for my plaster got 17 bushels sent to Sister Swanns for 2 barrells ashes – fencing took out fish trap rise in the river - - - shelling corn - -

Fair Marcellus & Linnaeus & wife Miss Nowel Olivia & H Ann Anderson came to the quilting – went to the river full halling wood rakeing for oats fencing etc

A few drops rain rakeing & sowing oats sowed 3 1/2 bushels – rakeing them in etc. . burning brush I patched my fish trap & put it in hire Pd Mrs Vaughn 25 cts & gave her 25 cts worth potatoes we are eaven

Showery soed 3 bags plaster on clover & a small wheet patch by Dabs – Miss Leeper & Anna came to quilt sowing oats & finished sowed 2 1/2 bushels burning brush malling rails for garden - - - sowed 37 1/2 bushels oats in all Sowed 37 1/2 bu oats

Fair a cool day windy the ground has a crust on it in the morning – Miss B Hill had 2 bu potatoes (Dr) To 2 bu Mrs Coalman had 1 bu Pd for all $2.25 cts Charles had 10 cts worth. Miss B Hill spent the day throwing out the middles single ploughs burning brush etc caught 8 fish to day
