Cdy morning finished ploughing my corn the 1st time throwing the dirt to it etc white washed the arbout & made benches etc

Rain a very heavy one we went to Anna, & dined caught there in the rain ploughing in the morning choping corn etc Rain last night etc

Rainy day or evening – halling logs to the mill halled 4 brought 11 cherry planks home patching the fence by the barn thined cotton etc

4th Sat

Rain in the evening I went to Carmel no preacher commenced fencing by the orchard fenced in the potato patch by the barn etc We went to T Castle in the evening – river is up

5th Sun

Rain a heavy wind & rain I went to Carmel Bro Fox preached Bro Harris has the billious fever [fever with nausea & diarrhea] we came home river up

Mule

Fair warm Peter mule died yesterday or last night choping the corn by the ice pond. I saw the first silk in my corn field a white one

Fair very warm day Thomasia & I went to N Lucks got some apples budded 3 or 4 trees of a sweet apple from Lucks – ploughing weeding corn etc

Fair covered old Peter with dirt lime ashes etc ploughing the young mule sent becky Lane to Mamas to go to Tyler. I budded 2 trees by dabs house

Fair commenced cutting oats ploughing corn in the wet bottom - - weeding etc

Fair very warm day cutting oats ploughing brakeing out balks etc Molly is quite sick this evening - -

Fair very warm weather last night was as warm a night as we have had for a long time cutting oats ploughing etc weeding cottopn etc greesed my pigs to day - & Sow yesterday – I washed in the river this evening

Fair very warm day we walked over to Mamas this evening

Meeting

Fair pleasant day cutting oats I hired a man Ambrose for 62 1/2 ploughing etc Thomasia & I went to Rehoboth to meeting L Swann got converted to day

Rain a pretty shower Thomasia warped a piece of cloth at Mama, cutting oats commenced on the rode cut till 12 ock weeding cotton ploughing corn & potatoes irish

Fair & a cool day I went to Bro Saml to carry some money for Sister Sarah to go to the bank in Richmond Finished cutting oats to night – had 4 or 5 mails put in my horses shoes

Fair very cool day ploughing weeding cotton cymblains etc Mama & Sarah T went to Dr Gouldins to day I Pd Ambrose $1.50 cts for cutting oats

Cdy, cool, ploughing by the corn house wed the pumpkins & Irish potatoes we went to T Castle in the evening

18th Sat

Rain fine rain most of the day finished ploughing corn & Irish potatoes we went to T Castle in the evening

Rain a good one last night & this morning we went to Cty Line to hear Bro Fuller preach. Text Prodigal Son Luke 15th ct 13 verse went back to T Castle & home in the evening -

Rainy evening Thomasia & I went to S Gouldin's to have a wais coat cut out had hair cut etc weeding potatoes ploughing sweet potatoes cotton etc sent for my mule at W Dickinsons etc budded 4 trees July cherries that came from Dr Gouldin

Buck Wheat

Fair we went to Mrs Terrells I caught my mule – got 1 qt wheat buck of W Terrell – patching the garden & runing the fence by grave yard etc

Cdy Cherry the Hudson cow had a calf to day mail I halled 2 loads manure to the garden & sowed a little buck wheat – fallowed the cow pen for turnips ploughing the corn field peas weeding potatoes – September cut the wheat made nearly 1 1/2 bu from 1 quart - -

23rd Th

Fair Rain commenced to night – Thomasia & the children went to W Swanns & spent the day – ploughed the pea patch – ploughing the cotton etc weeding potatoes halled 1 1/2 loads oats

Fair very warm – I went around to give notice to work on the Rode – ploughed the cotton, beets etc weeding potatoes etc finished halling up my oats halled 3 loads -

25th Sat

Fair warm I worked on the road commenced at the mill finished about night we went to T Castle J L Hart & others were there

26th Sun

Fair very warm we spent the day at T. Castle brought up a basket of peaches & some twigs to bud from etc. . . .

Rain a fine shower I went to the Depot had a wais coat cut out got my things from the Depot sugar pants etc etc weeding potatoes doing up the garden etc Tom came by with Dr new horse

Fair warm fencing on the garden & by the corn field – halled 273 rails from Mama new ground – weeding potatoes picking up apples

Fair warm working on the road left of by by the spring caught a hair

Fair very warm day finished the rode by ice house all hands came over to work finished potatoes cotton etc & working the peas -

Fair very warm day I beet about 35 gallons sider – wed out my wheat yard finished weding peas – I went to Beaver Dam Depot bought pair shoes for $1.50 cts had my boots patched cost 18 3/4 cts & bought 2 skains silk 12 1/2 cts on credit. Dr Gouldin & Louisa came up – had horse shod
