Snowy morning melted nearly as fast as it fel I spent the day at T. Castle Bro Wit preached at Carmel

Cdy day I went to Bro Saml & to Dr Dericotts looking for bricks got 200 of Bro Saml halling wood grubing burning brush etc etc

Beef

Fair mild I killed a beef at T. Castle with my rifle. I went to Mr Gouldins to have my heair cut. Hackett & I burnt a plant bed on my swamp grubing halling rails etc I went to T. Castle

Marriage

Fair we went to bro Saml left the children Molly & Thomasia went with me to Linnaeus's wedding at J. T. Andersons [he married Edmonia Thomasia Trevillian Anderson in Hanover County] halling rails wood & logs for a hen house etc grubing etc went back to Bro Saml at night – Linnaeus married to Edmonia Anderson

Fair mild we came over to T. Castle Ann Emily & William spent the night at Bro Saml halling wood etc grubing - -

Cdy mild I came up home brought Llewellyn commenced the hen house burning brush commenced ploughing for oats caught a hare spent the day at home

Snow commenced in the night one inch & 1/2 or 2 inches deep Ran etc beeting out hay seed shelling corn etc I went to T. Castle in the evening

Fair I spent the day at T. Castle - - - -

Fair cold came up home & went back to T. Castle to the wedding supper cutting rail timber malling etc - -

Fair spent the day at T. Castle came up home this evening malling rails grubing etc Bet had her 6th litter of pigs 9 in number killed 5 -

Fair mild finished the logs of the hen house – sent 6 bushels of wheat to the mill & corn malling rails grubing caught a fish

Pigs

Fair – killed 2 hogs cut them out malling rails grubing etc cuppling rafters for hen house etc malling rails grubing etc

butter

Fair cold morning – cuppled the rafters & put them on the hen house sent to the mill for flour sent corn for chop etc carryed the handle of the cutting [knife] to mend that broke malling rails grubing sowled Mrs Dickinson 5 lbs butter for 20 cts

Bro Saml Dined hear to day ploughing, grubing etc. working on the H house. shelling corn etc

Snow a little this morning Thomasia & I went to Carmel Bro Fox preached W. Swann dined here to day

Shower in the evening covered the hen house Thomasia & I went to W. Swanns to a party at night halling rails grubing etc Mr Kean's daughter died this evening

17th Tus

Fair a very large frost I made a coffin for for Mr Keans child – W Right helped me to make a coffin. pd him 50 cts borrowed 3 yds of flanel of S. T. Redd halling rails grubing

18th W

Fair north wind finished the hen house halled my gate post in plase – ploughing grubing etc

19th Th

Snowing commenced about 1 ock to day several in deep halling wood cutting rail timber grubing etc sent to mill for meal. Bob had 1.2 souls:

Fair it rained most of the night most of the snow has melted the snow fel about 4 inches deep beeting out boats in the barn

Fair very windy & cool we went to T Castle in the evening Dr Gouldin & Louisa came up this evening to Mama, cutting rail timber for the garden. malling grubing etc Mr Vass & sun dined hear to day -

Fair most of the day we spent the day at T Castle Rose had her 3rd calf a male name Washington -

Fair mild halling wood burning brush etc – I halled a load of rocks & durt made a new back in the chaimber

Cdy I sent Bob to the Depot for 1/2 turn of plaster carryed it to the Drs mill brought up 5 sheep a black one with them

Snowy day fell about 2 1/2 inches deep grubing finished beeting out oats etc sheling corn I put Rose under the barn to day with her calf getting some sedar stakes for the garden

26th Th

Clear & cold cutting rail timber shelling corn etc Thomasia & I went over to Mama, this morning

27th Fr

Cdy & very cold day I went to Cobbs for a log sent it to the mill sawed off 2 stocks – halling logs for a [granary?] cutting rail timber & logs for a house Hackett pd me 25 cts for shot -

Snow commenced last night it fel about 2 or 3 inches deep rainy evening – Dr Gouldin & I had a sebtle ment to day he pd me 4 $ Mr Vass came for the little bull. – faned out my oats 12 1/2 bushels shelled a turn of corn I have 36 1/2 bushels of oats faned out - -
