1st Fr

A small shower Tom dined hear to day Ann & Emily spent the evening Dr Gouldin & family came up this evening fallowing grubing halling logs from the shop put my hogs in oat patch

2nd Sat

Cdy day I went to Carmel Bro Harris preached Mrs Hewlith gave in her experience Dr Gouldin & I went down to look at my corn fallowing with the mules grubing

3rd Sun

Rain a fine one at Carmel, not as much hear Bro Harris Preached Text psalms 123 2 verse Thomasia & children went to Carmel. a great many persons at meeting

4th M

Fair Dr Gouldin swaped horses with Mr Gouldin sent to the Depot for lime salt molaces grass blade etc etc fallowing groubing etc working on gate

5th Tus

Fair or rather cdy day making a fence by the shop sent to mill for a turn of meal at $1.25 cts

6th W

Rain showery day a pretty rain halling rails moved Anna, rails from  the shop & made my fence by the shop fallowing fenceing for Anna shelled a turn of corn by the shop fallowing fenceing for Anna shelled a turn of corn in my barn I saw Bro Harris pass the shop

7th Th

Fair warm I went to Bro Turners & in the neighbourhood looking for corn Mr Harris came to Turners with the machine – fallowing halled 2 gate post grubing etc

8th Fr

Fair raining a little to night halling rails for the shop chimney, grubing fallowing with the mules Mrs Pendleton & daughter went from Mama,

9th Sat

Fair very warm eve – went to T. Castle Dawner Mrs M.CLaughlin Marcella were at T Castle – fallowing grubing I faned out 1 bushel of wheat sent it to mill with a turn of corn

10th Sun

Shower of rain this evening We came up home this evening I went to Carmel to a prair meeting a gfw persons at meeting

Fair warm I went to the Bowling Green Dr Anderson pd me 12 $ for a black steer spent 45 cts to day ploughed & wed my tobacco John Taler was at the B Green to day pd L Terrell 1. $ and 50 cts in part for trap

12th Tus

Fair sent to the mill for flour no meal fallowing Hacket got the mule from hear lent him a rule etc grubing cutting some trees for post etc

13th W

Fair sawed down 3 or 4 gate post Minor hewed 3 for 50 cts halled 3 logs to mill grubing etc Mama & Sister S & Louisa & Anna dined hear to day Dr Anderson came to see Katy etc sent to mill for meal

14th Th

Rain a shower in the morning & one in the evening it rained to night halled a log to the mill fallowing grubing shelling corn Minor hewed a plate for the barn bought the old shop frame of Anna for 2$. Pd Minor 25 cts Rain most of the night

15th Fr

Cdy had a good rain yesterday & last night. shower this morning fallowing grubing moved the house or a part of it from shop put my sheep in the old pasture

16th Sat

Cdy a small shower or two I made a passtry board for Miss H Anderson [stained?] one of my post gates at the shop We went to T Castle fallowing grubing halling the plates for the barn

17th Sun

Fair Thomasia & ["Mrs" lined out] Mrs McLaughlin went to Carmel Bro Broaddus preached Text John 14th chap 6th verse came up home this evening

Rain a little cut down W Harrises, machine this morning sent the horses back on account of the rain fallowing grubing sent a turn of corn to the mill

A small shower thrashed out my wheat and a stack of oats had 4 hands from T C 1 from Mama, W. Harris left his carrage to be mended Mr Vass dined hear to day

20th W

Rainy evening I went to W Swanns his child died this morning I made his coffin John Swann helped John dined hear finished fallowing by the shop commenced on the main road for ry grubing Harris laid up

21st Th

Rainy day fallowing worming tobacco grubing Harris laid up working on the Harrises carriage etc

22 Fr

Fair most of the day carryed my fan to the new barn faned out 6 bu of red wheat sent it to the mill laid off my stack fraim cut some new falks grubing working on Phaeton body etc [sporty open carriage with light body over 4 very large wheels] went to the new ground to look at my corn etc etc

23rd Sat

Fair warm working on Phaeton Linnaeus dined hear from meeting sent to mill for meal & to N Lucks for vinegar did not get any sent me 32 cts the balance fallowing grubing about stack frame

24th Sun

Rain a good one this evening We went to Cty Line Bro Powel spoke on temperance

25th M

Fair very warm day working on phaeton carryed it to Canfields to be mended with a plate had 1 plate & 4 ribits made went to the mill fallowing grubing etc

26th Tus

Fair very warm we went to Cty Line Bro Jeter preached in the morning Text Jeremiah 17 ct 10th verse. Bro Lewis preached in the evening Text psalms finished putting in the falks in stack frame grubing sent to the mill for a bl of flour

27th W

Rainy evening a good rain we went to C. Line Bro Jeter preached in the morning Text Matthew 16th 24th verse. preached in the evening Text Peter 4 ct 18th verse sent all hands to meeting

Cdy and damp finished Mr Harrises Phaeton the meeting is goin on quite a revival. cutting grubing fallowing sent over to Bro Saml & to Mr Buttlers for a coat ground some paint etc I went to Linch Cobbs bought 3 pines of him gave $7.75 cts for the 3 employed Vinkner to get shingles at 2$25 cts a thousand

29th Fr

Cdy we went to C Line Bro Lewis preached text 4th psalm 6th verse malling rails grubing cutting

30th Sat

Fair I went to L Cobbs whare they wer getting shingles & by F Cobbs to see his new house etc went to the mill had my mair shod in front bought a sow and pigs for $3.00 cts of S. Gouldin. We went to T Castle to diner & to Mr Buttlers pd Miss E Chiles 75 cts for making a coat went to Bro Samls spent the night

31st Sun

Fair I Pd S Redd 5 $ for advancing the same to Mr Burkley gave Barbara 5 $ to get things in Richmond came over this evening by Mr Butlers. Spoke for vinegar & by T C. & home
