Fair cold day a large frost north wind Dick barking the joice halling joice rails etc by Canfields ploughing fencing etc I sold my buggy to E C Taylor for 87 1/2 $ he pd me 10 $. We went to Dr Gouldins for 2 owls let Dr Gouldin have 1 lb nails lent him my steel trap to catch owl Bitley asked for a wife

Fair cool day a frost Mr Martin & Dick drawing shingles sawing etc I sent Billy to T Castle for 6 bu of wheat ploughing rakeing planting corn etc I went to the mill to have my wheat ground – Mary G. Taylor went over to Hanover in the buggy Bro Saml came over this evening rode my horse to Goldnsville

Fair a south wind a fine day Mr Martrin & Dick getting shingles I ground some paint & painted the carrage and baruch shaft etc ploughing rakeing planting corn sent to mill for flour

Fair south wind Mr Martin and Richard getting shingles I took my corn out of the corn house & put it in the open rakeing planting corn etc halling wood I went to Bro Saml for a bu seed corn borrowed his saw I spoke to Dr Derricotte for a bu corn

Fair warm put up the corn in the corn houses stuck the peas etc {I went to muster at C Burg with Dick We went to Edmond Anderson’s in the evening

Fair foggy in the morning Ed Anderson and self went to Carmel Bro Harris preached Text John I went back to Mr Andersons etc

Foggey in the morning warm went to Carmel to a temperance meeting Mr Daricott spoke and Bro Williamson & Sumner 8 new members joined I went back to Edm Anders I bought a ax of Mr Anderson pd 15$. The Blacksmith spoke at the B Greene to day

Fair warm I came home this morning left Thomasia & child at Mr Anderson’s Tom came up this evening halling rails planting corn planted apple seed etc Sister Emily came over to Mama,s to day the old goose had 9 goslins

Fair very warm I went by Ed Anderson’s & to J. T. Andersons staid all night I had the sorrel horse shod 2 shoes in front carried some lettice over the river planting corn

Fair very warm d I came up home with Llewellyn from Verdon I came by E. An,s for a steer brought him home halled a stock to mill halled a load rafters sent Billy to Dr Darricotts for a bushel of corn plant Dr Gouldin pd me 48$ 50 cts for Lewis Hill the hire of Frank Mr Martin sawing & getting shingles etc

Fair very warm day Mr Martin getting shingles sawing I put the potatoes in a hot bed in the garden planting corn commenced on the stony hill side I killed 5 crows made a hoe helve

Fair very warm Rose had her 2 nd calf a bull calf I planted watermelon seed sugar coar [corn] 20 hills I went to Ed Anderson’s & by T. Castle Llewellyn & Tom went to T C Mr Martin went to muster Finished planting corn all the ground ploughed planted some yellow corn I brought to Bet cow and turned her in the pasture

Fair very warm d Mr Martin & Richard getting shingles ploughing for corn burning brush halling logs etc I covered a part of my artichokes Bro Saml came over I cut his hair

Fair very warm day I went to T Castle for potatoes and a pig Henry Clay ploughing burning brush Mr Martin & Richard getting shingles finished the timber that was halled killed 5 crows

Rain a small shower in the evening Mr Martin & Richard packing away shingles halling logs for shingles getting etc ploughing burning brush grubbing etc

Rainy day cool Richard working on my wheels etc Canfield commenced work after 8 Oclock till diner he pointed 2 ploughs altered my [scanes?] on the little cart halling rails for cow pen fenced in my tobacco bed at the new ground etc I made a axel tree to little cart The Buffle low had her 2 nd calf to day.

Rainy day cool Richard working on a pair wheels Canfield & Bob ironing my cart wheels cleaned out my stable made a cow pen on my land finished my cart axle tree Tom went home

Rainy day cool d Richard finished my wheels Canfield & Bob working on  my wheels throwing up manure in farm pen etc Pd Miss Riddle $1.07 cts for weaving cloth made Mike a bridle

Fair warm I went to Mr Ware’s to carry a coat got 6 years of corn of him Thomasia & self went to mill to way I got cabbace plants set out several rows of plants halling ashes to M A with his manure I finished Mikes bridle Canfield worked on some rails till breakfast Richard getting shingles lent my own to L Cobbs

Fair warm Mr Martin & Richard halling logs to the mill for wether boarding & rafters halled 3 loads I sent 2 bu potatoes to Edm Andersons ploughing grubbing throwing up manure etc

Fair very warm day Mr Martin & Richard halling logs getting shingles etc ploughing burning brush grubing etc a Whig diner at Golans Ville I put sweet potatoes in hot bed

Fair warm I went to election voted for Brodus the poles Sawne – 122” 65 Richard & Tom went to Golans Ville Mr Martin getting shingles & D till diner ploughing grubbing burning brush I sold 2 bu potatoes to Dick White Pd the mony Pd Allen 25 cts.

Fair warm Mr Martin commenced work after breakfast hewing joice etc ploughed the cotton patch commenced planting I halled some manure to my apple patch

Rain evening hail etc Mr Martin worked 1/2 of the day worked on the safe etc Dick went to T., ville after breakfast ploughing for corn fallowed the land by the sho[ commenced on the hill planting cotton shelling corn throwing up manure halling manure to apple patch

Fair Mr Martin D Dick about the house putting up the joice etc {rakeing for corn grubbing in front of the house I sent George to T Castle for corn and plaster I boiled tobacco to soke corn in halling manure set out cabbage plants
