Rain a little a north west wind I went to T Castle and to meeting at Car Brother Harris preached Tex Peter 2nd C 30 verse I went back to T Castle planted my peas finished cutting my foryard [forward] wheat commenced throwing the dirt to the corn weeding etc warmest day we have had 94 deg 2 weeding corn cutting wheat prizeing tobacco 73 lbs good tobacco

Rain in the evening very warm - the wind is shifting about mostly east. I went to meeting Brother Harris preached Tex Acts 17 Ct - 30th verse

Fair cool day a north wind ploughing weeding corn and pumpkins sent Walker to Mr Vaughan, to carry cloth and to get some vinegar got 1 gal of Mr W. Terrell ploughing corn 2 finished cutting the Forward wheat commenced the purple straw prized tobacco 43 lbs lugs [lower leaves] worming

Fair a south west wind I believe cool day finished weeding corn the 2nd time ploughing commenced weading again {ploughing corn by stack lot weading corn worming tobacco Anna got back today

Fair rather warmer a south west wind weeding corn ploughing etc shelling corn 2 weeding corn cotton thined it ploughed my watermellon patch planted perl beans finished throwing the dirt 2 furrows to the corn

Fair warm a south west wind Finished cutting what weeding corn put the little bull in the pasture to go to Rose and the other cows Dr Anderson came by this evening 2 prizeing tobacco 29 lbs ploughing cutting wheat finished it has the Rust very bad

Rain a drop or two in the evening a south and east wind Halled up my forward wheat and stacked it wed over the tobacco ploughing got 15 lbs flour of Mr Gouldin 2 halled up the forward wheat and put it in the barn ploughing weeding tobacco etc

Cdy a west wind I went to Old Cty Line to meeting Mr Holly & Johnson preached

Rain a few drops this evenind a south west wind warm Halled up my wheat and stacked it finished etc weeding potatoes ploughing corn etc Tom came hear this evening Miss Gouldin went home 2 finished weeding tobacco and pumpkins and watermellons vines reeplanted etc weeding corn ploughed potatoes planted beans and the [limas?]

Rain in the evening a very good one & the wind has been from ever point. weeding potatoes ploughing corn in the new ground 2 set out tobacco Reeplanted weeding con apple trees etc ploughing got over with 4 furrows commenced brakeing out the balks

Rainy day fine rain a north east wind cool ploughing corn finished the new ground and commenced on the rode ploughed potatoes Sweet and peas commenced throwing another furrow to the corn reeplanted tobacco finished weeding the Irish potatoes Prizeing tobacco 25 lbs for self 2 finished weeding the corn the 3rd time commenced weeding sweet potatoes reeplanted tobacco ploughing corn etc prizeing tobacco 14 lbs

Fair warm south west wind ploughing wed the potatoes sweet and peas etc prizeing tobacco 25 lbs I sined a paper for a turn out at Huletts cross rodes 2 weeding tobacco halling and stacking wheat purple straw 1 stack

Fair very warm ploughing in the new ground Commenced cutting oats Scotch weeding corn Thomasia went to T Castle with Tom B I went in the evening I helped to take a bea hive 2 weeding tobacco ploughing corn finished stacking wheat 2 stacks

Rain a little in the evening very warm I went to Carmell with Thomasia Brother Harris preached in the morning tex Psalms 130th 4th verse Bro Sumner preached in the evening we went to T. Castle and staid all night

Fair a south east wind I came home Thomasia and Barbara came up in the carriage Linaaeus went after Miss Harriet Ann in my buggy Cutting oats commenced cutting the ruffle oats ploughing commenced on the rode with 4 furrows weeding corn etc planted musk mellon seed prized tobacco 29 lbs 2 finished weeding the tobacco peas etc ploughing & weeding the cotton ploughing the corn etc Robert & Aggy is laid up

Fair very warm a south west wind finished throwing 4 furrows to the corn commenced brakeing out balks cutting oats by shop weeding corn - prized tobacco 9 lb lugs. Thomasia went to Mr Gouldins and my self 2 cutting oats finished weeding the cotton & Brother Sam came over to day

Fair very warm a south west wind ploughing weeding corn Joh Pleasants came to Mama, and Mr Talley and children 2 boys - shelling corn 2 cutting oats ploughing etc

Fair cool a west wind ploughing weeding corn Ju Ann laid up cutting oats by the gate sent corn to the mill I took a bea hive for Mama Mr Talley went home prized tobacco 50 lbs good - 26th lbs good finished 2 cutting oats ploughing etc

Fair very cold in the morning a cool day a north wind cutting oats Walker commenced cutting ploughing corn in the morning Paid Sa T Redd 10 dollars in part for hire 2 cutting oats in the meadow ploughing nearly finished sent Joh for the sythe blades at Mr Gouldin.

Fair cool a north wind cutting oats in the orchard schoo[l] went to C Line in the evenind 2 cutting oats sent a hogshead of tobacco to depot commenced cutting hog

Fair a south and west wind I went to C. Line to meeting a great many persons Brother Powel and Dick preac Ps Tex 1 Ct 1st Corinthians 18 verse

Fair a south east wind very warm I went to Cty Line Brother Lewis & Taylor preached L Tex John 1 ct 9 verse and T' John 5th ct 38 verse & if you etc cutting oats finished all to a few green spots ploughing weeding corn etc 2 cutting oats and hay I sent a letter to the depot to W Dandridge

Fair a south east wind or north wind commenced stacking my oats put up 1 stack weeding the potatoes and ploughing them I went to C Line Brother Taylor preached in the morning Tex Jer: 5th 22.23. and 24 verses Brother Lewis preached in the evening Tex Luke 15th Ct 4th verse 2 finished cutting oats

Fair a south east wind halling oats and stacking them put up 2 stacks to day I went to meeting Brother Taylor prached twice the Tex in the morning was in Isi the Text this evening was in Matthew 21st 44 verse and whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken etc 2 halling oats stacking etc put up 1 stack halling

Fair a south and ["south" lined out] north a part of the day I went to C Line Brother Taylor preached in the morning Text Thess Bro Lewis' tex halling oats stacked them 3 stacks cutting or finished cutting 2 halling oats put up 1 stack and commenced another

Fair very warm mostly a south wind finished stacking my Oats. I let my negroes go to meeting we went to meeting Brother Powel P Text Daniel 10th Lewis' tex Hebrews 7th Ct 25th verse 2 finished halling oats and stacking all hands went to meeting

29th Sat

fair warm a south west wind commenced cutting hay finished ploughing the Irish potatoe patch and weed it etc I went to meeting Brother Pow and Lewis preached I went to T. Castle 2 sent 2 hands to mill to work on the foard worming tobacco cutting hay

30th S

Rain in the evening a south wind very warm I went to C Line Brother Lewis and Stringfellow preached in the evening Text hebrews 11th 24 25 & 26 ver we went back to T. Castle

Rainy day cool a north wind a very good rain I came home I sent to Richmond for a umbrella by Dandridge shelling corn halling wood etc 2 moved the cow pen topping tobacco etc commenced
